HARDTRANCE

In 1996 I was pretty much in full Goa / Psy Trance mode. Psychedelia was a tape that I did that focused on that sound. Full on Goa sounds that will melt your mind.

Another classic mixtape. This time from Omar (now Darius Alexsander) and Myself. This was after we did the first Mind Waves tape. This was a mix of downtempo and chill out tunes. Some classic stuff from Black Dog, UNKLE and others. Hope you enjoy. First half of the mix is me and second half is Omar.

Thee-O - Cybersex (1993 Mixtape)

This was the last Psy-Trance / Goa tape I ever did. It was pretty much a ode to a new style of Psy Trance that was emerging. There was label in the UK called 21-3 that was pushing this breakbeat Goa sound and I just loved it. It was so different for the time. Matsuri and a few other labels started getting into it as well but it never really went anywhere. Not sure of the tracklisting but I know I closed the tape with Kodiak by Squarepusher.

Live recording mixtape from my first out of state gig in El Paso, Texas. This mix is a mixture of techno and hard acid. Listen close and you can hear the whistles from the crowd. There were only 100 of this tape made. 50 sold in El Paso, 50 in Los Angeles.

I was originally planning on Cybersex 4 to be the last one of the series but I was intrigued by a new style of trance that included a breakbeat sound to it. At the time I was having Pure Acid Mixtapes do a lot of my mixes and they wanted a new Cybersex tape as well. I am glad I did. I think it rounds out the series pretty well. Originally recorded in 1995 as part of a double pack with (The Light Side) of The Force. This mix is filled with dark techno and acid on one side and also hard and aggressive techno on the other side. This is both sides on one mp3. Originally released on Biohazard Production, this was later rereleased on Pure Acid Mixtapes in 1997.

I guess it is kinda silly to come with a old school rave mixtape only 3 years after the classic rave sound was but that is what I did anyway. Recycled Rave is a mix of old school 1991-92 era breakbeat techno. Now I have both sides on here. 90 mins of Old School Rave in Your Face.
