De Pankraker 210 – 31.05.2022 – New stuff ao: Ordigort, Beastial Majesty, Reversed

We can introduce you to the new album by the best death metal band Belgium has to offer. We are talking about Bones! This band, who you can see tomorrow as support act for the cult heroes of Sadistic Intent, will release a new, promising album on September 9th. A first song can be heard in De Pankraker 211!

For the first time in the history of the divided radio landscape, Tinnitus Metal Radio and De Pankraker closed a pax media. This happened on the initiative of Kim Bendix Petersen, who watched with great sadness how the two best metal radio programmes in the world began to resemble two chapters of rival motorbike gangs. After years of mediation, the monstrous DJs of both programmes decided to pay tribute to the man who finally kept them from throwing each other down the stairs. There can only be one King and that is neither Tinnitus nor De Pankraker. Modesty is in order.  

On September 16, Tinnitus and De Pankraker join forces with the world's best concert hall (The Pit's) for an evening of satanism, occultism and unruly falsetto. With the help of the Tinnitus and Pankraker listeners, we pay tribute to Mercyful Fate, the co-founders of black metal, and King Diamond.  You provide your top 10 favourite Mercyful Fate and King Diamond songs. We'll do the sums and give you a scorching, sultry and fact-filled presentation.

De Pankraker 212 * 23.08.2022 * New stuff: Forbidden Temple, Black Door, Hagetisse....

Today a special moment, because we have the best death metal band in Belgium visiting us. Or better: we went to visit the four-headed, gurgling monster called Bones a few days after their new record Sombre Opulence was released by the amazing underground label Invictus Productions. The band, a diverse quartet, kicks the balls out of their dark death metal trousers with a nine song album. Which bands have an influence on the band's varied sound is up to you, but in the second part of the show, the band members themselves highlight several of those influences. The band members are light on their feet, but dead serious when it comes to the scorching results of their dedicated labour. Sombre Opulence is the first full length in the more than ten year existence of the band. Earlier there were two demos and as many eps. Today you get parts of the interview that will be presented in its entirety in one of our Pankraker magazine issues, maybe in a few months. They spoke to us in a two-hour interview: Viktor Walschaerts, man with the hard hitting sticks, Jeroen de Pauw, the stylised guitar aggressor, Stef Aertsen, the Dionysian guitar maniac and Laurens Oostrom, the stoic man of the thick strings. At the end of the show, the gentlemen will also add a short DJ set.
