This one was a fun challenge from Guantanamo Bae (this guy is amazing, the more I know him, the more I think he is great).

We were discussing about a collab and after some ideas, he sent me some stems and said: "Can you make some trance stuff out of these?"
Funny thing is that at that time I was listening to tons of music from Astrix and Infected Mushrooms, so why not taking a chance?

To make this song I sampled and sound designed some of the elements (example the snare, the shaker or the koto) and synthesized others (wobs, sub, kick, etc). And since Mortal Kombat has been a strong influence for me since 1993, I tried to make a soundtrack for the best game series ever,

I was challenged to remix this Thai song that TVkrit made for the GTA Mechanic community ... Challenge accepted!

Following the vibe of aritsts like Jaenga and a typical structure of a Kpop song, I came out with this.
It's like going through the mechanics headquarter with one of them, taking the elevetor to get down in their basement, just to realize how serious and dangerous these guys are when you see they are building the ultimate weapon.

Any opinion? Considering I don't speak a single work of Thai, do you think I honored the flow of TVkrit?

After the farily good success of his previous collaboration Hell'O Saurus with Cakasaurus and the successful publication by Nation of Dubstep and CaltifyMX, HellKey continues to walk on the path of Dubstep. Unlike his previous releases, funny or sometimes even comical, this time the sound is more serious and profound and intimate.



This new single, "Incantation (By the Good I see in the others)" combines the taste for the melodic dubstep to a very aggressive drop with a heavy punchy bass. Delicate melodies, sad and melancholic, describe a dark and heavenly beauty. It's the concept of the Good, something magical and fragile in everyone of us, but suddenly disrupted by the anger and the power of the drop (at 1:20). No matter the keytar solo following the drop, the heavenly beauty is now lost, leaving nothing else but a bitter melody.



It's the theme of "Beauty and the Beast", here adopted to describe the contrast between good and evil. Following the same idea of people made evil by the circumstances (the Hell we are living in), HellKey continues to identify the Hell people as those who are not given the right to enjoy an easy life and have to struggle and carve out inch by inch ther way to the success. The cover art of this single depicts exactly that by showing a cute and tender devil girl, sitting on her knees and looking at you in the eyes. "We both know we are evil because we must. We share the same Hell. But we have a beauty that Hell can't steal from us".

Incantation (by The Good I See In The Others)

This track was really inspiring and gave me lots of chances to experiment new tecniques and ideas. The aim was to make something that could be played in festival like Lost Lands or Rampage, hope I got close enough.

I wanted to give this remix a crazy wild and aggressive direction. Therefore I kept most of the elements of the original song and added heavily distorted wobbles and other elements totally sound designed by me (for example the brass sound or the dolphin sound) plus a keytar solo (at 2:30). Also I did an extra loud mastering (-3LUFS) by using multiple send tracks and applying different limiters (something similar to what Skrillex did for Mumbai Power).

Hope you enjoy this track as much as I enjoyed creating it and I want to thanks @Guantanamo Bae and Club Restricted Promo for giving me the chance to work at the remix of such a cool song (I am talking about the original one).

Guantanamo Bae - I Want You To Be Kind (HellKey Remix)

This is my latest release and it's gonna be more dubstep to chew in this 2021. 
For this one I have teamed with a very talented rapper, MC-Loco, a Columbian artist now living in Norway. This guy knows really well what does it mean to fight against adversities to build a dream. That's why I was sure he would have been the right choice as vocalist for this track.

The song is about overcoming a dark past made of lack of opportunities and painful indifference. Here it is a preview of it.
