The track “Interrupt” is a confession in the ambient techno genre. Instead of words, I unburden myself with a seven-minute track on an analog synthesizer, complementing it with kick, bass, and drums. Percussion and noise are stylized to sound like Deepchord; thanks to him I became part of this genre.

In the summer of 2018, I and A. had been texting for several months, being in different parts of Russia. Already in July, we met in the Caucasus Mountains area and had a nice walk along Arkhyz. A month later, we were already in Moscow, together. A twenty-eight-year-old romantic boy and a twenty-year-old sage woman. I felt like we were one. In May 2019, we could have had a son. But he would not have been born. His heart stopped beating on November 15, 2018.

Doctors predicted terrible diagnoses like Down syndrome or stillbirth. We had to take our son's life. How do you like that? The main theme of the track was written on December 25, when we parted ways with A. This piece of music is about love that did not pass the test of grief. A wound that will bleed for life. A sense of guilt that has taken root inward.

For a long time, I have been thinking about whether to release this track and tell our story. Even though A. and I don’t communicate, she supported me in this. Every time I listen to it, tears come to my eyes. Don't make my mistakes. Stay together in joy and sorrow because this is the maturity of love.

Трек Interrupt — исповедь в жанре ambient techno. Вместо слов семиминутная дорожка на аналоговом синтезаторе. На нее наложены бочка, бас и барабаны. Перкуссии и шум стилизованы под звучание Deepchord, благодаря которым я попал в этот жанр. 

Лето 2018 года. Мы с А. переписываемся несколько месяцев, находясь в разных частях России. Уже в июле мы встречаемся на Кавказе и прогуливаемся по Архызу. Спустя месяц мы живем вместе в Москве — 28-летний мальчик-романтик и 20-летняя женщина-мудрец. Целое. В мае 2019 года у нас должен появиться сын. Но он не родится. Его сердце перестало биться 15 ноября 2018 года. 

Врачи пророчили страшные диагнозы — от синдрома Дауна до мертворождения. Мы  лишили нашего сына жизни. Как вам такое? Основная тема трека написана 25 декабря, когда мы расстались с А. Эта музыка о любви, которая не прошла испытание горем. О ране, которая будет кровоточить всю жизнь. О чувстве вины, пустившем корни внутрь.

Я долго думал, выпускать ли этот трек и рассказывать ли нашу историю. Несмотря на то что мы с А. не общаемся, она поддержала меня в этом. Каждый раз когда я слушаю его, слезы наворачиваются на глаза. Не допускайте моих ошибок. Будьте вместе и в радости, и в горе — в этом и есть зрелость любви.

SCICHEDEL (Pronounced “saiquedel”)

It is the conceptual blend of science fiction and psychedelia. It’s a space opera in musical form, composed with a personal technique that Von Krup named as “hyper-recycling".

This idea stems from a phenomenon that often overwhelms producers: having thousands of 8-bar beats that seem to go nowhere. We create one after another, gradually abandoning them. In his opinion, forcing these 8-bar beats into a 6-minute track is the perfect formula for boring tracks—3-minute intros followed by predictable drops, with or without hi-hat/kick.

To break this pattern, he decided to let these beats follow their own creative path. Whether they lasted 30 seconds or 5 minutes depended solely on their own elements and storytelling. After creating around 25 tracks with these characteristics, he sought a way to mix them together to form longer tracks that defied their own structure. That’s why some tracks seem like two or three combined into one.

All sounds are inspired by outer space, feeding off themselves in the crunchy, chewy sound that defines Von Krup, but with a more organic and sweet tint.
