Welcome to Episode 139 on Poisonoise Music with the session seeing the return of one of my all- time favourite artists Tom Larson.
Tom always seems to be consistently good with his mixes , whether he is playing Techno , Deep Techno or anything inbetween (be sure to check his most recent sets as there are some excellent ones to be had) 
This session sees Tom on great form again , as he delivers a real nice hybrid of the deep / tec / dub crossover sound that I just love.

Tom was born on October 24, 1979 in Sonneberg. At the age of 16 he discovered his love for electronic music. At that time he was inspired by music sets of Richie Hawtin, Karotte and many other artists.He also had a big interest in spinning records.
Tom began to create Mixes... He put on records in many reputable locations in his homeland and at numerous radio stations like Sputnik Radio for example. He convinced lots of parties with his ingenious DJ Skills and also wants to convince you. For Tom electronic music is just timeless.

What Comes After The Universe w/Ajele

“The Path To Infinity”, that’s the name of this set, recorded from vinyl in St. Petersburg bar Kiki at the end of May 2024. The title was chosen in memory of Tim's younger brother, who died tragically in June 2024 during a voyage to the South Pole on a research ship…

Shutupandlisten and Tim Ohta are a married couple who have been collecting vinyl for years. They occasionally perform b2b ambient sets, and Tim Ohta also spins techno, house and other electronic dance music by himself. At the end of July they will go to play at a festival called "Quadrat" in the Republic of Mari El.

The photo was taken by Tim in the city of Kronstadt, and symbolises that “Path to Eternity”.

Stellar Series Episode 79 - Shutupandlisten & Tim Ohta (The Path To Infinity)

D.C. born, Virginia raised, Matthew Lowery a.k.a Chief Dubz is a vinyl connoisseur and sound system enthusiast currently located on the East Coast of North Carolina. 

With a wide variety of choice cuts from a slew of genres, Matthew has been refining his approach on the turntables for nearly a decade, with a passion for hip-hop, dub, dubstep, dub techno, DnB, Jungle and many other styles of music. 

While his live performances are limited, Matthew has done guest mixes for a number of well-known underground shadows. For this mix, he dives deep into the dub techno realm, crafting a meditative journey for his listeners to savor.

Primary [colours] Mix Series #49 - Chief Dubz

Primary Colours Music's Antipodean Dubs continues its celebration of Australian dub techno talent with the release of Volume B.

This instalment features Echo Inspectors, who have been a cornerstone of Primary Colours since its inception in 2012. Their track "Uncanny Valley" exemplifies their signature fusion of dub techno and deep rhythms, underscored by their meticulous programming.

Next, Sydney-based producer Taction delivers "Dialect," a deep techno homage imbued with dark, underground drone tones, reflecting his reverence for the genre's pioneers.

Brisbane’s Subset makes a powerful return with "Impedance," a track that fuses rootzy vibes, low-slung basslines, and massive drums, pulling listeners into its captivating stepping grooves.

The release is capped off by Sydney's Simon Mann, a long-time supporter of Primary Colours and renowned skater, with "Delta Morphic." This track radiates an uplifting energy through playful rhythms and effects, showcasing Simon's distinctive talents and rounding out this exceptional collection of Australian dub techno.

Subset - Impedance

Tristan Boltz, who trained as an architect, adopts an interdisciplinary approach to music. His sound focuses on the relationships between human, the perception of time and its effect on memory. It's characterised by a digital approach to matter, focusing on the subtlety of sound waves. Since 2018, his sound has evolve through various releases under "Olorun" with an interest in the subconscious relation between sound and environment.
