Welcome to the 58th episode of the Stellar Series.

XIV Orchestral was born in Turin in the late eighties. At young age he fell in in love with electronic music, its atmospheric sounds, hot pads, and melodic leads. At the age of 15 he had already acquired his first decks, and not much later he managed to perform at different parties and at various radio shows. His approach to music confers to the far-reaching and immersive world of keyboards, organs, and synthesizers. He's currently cultivating his understanding regarding to the synthesis and modulation of sound.

He took the photography at "La Mandria Park" in Italy.

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Anthony Asher-Yates approached ambient music when he moved to Colombia, being inspired by the diversity of the ecosystems that exist in this region. Known for taking his listeners deep into the tropical rainforest, Bålsam has conjured up a dream world surrounded by nature. Anthony's music is composed by field recordings he does during his walks though the mountains where he now lives with partner Nina Nativa and his daughter.

Last year I released the 7th compilation in three parts. A diversity of genres and artists are presented on this amazing release. After the release I was contacted by An Ho aka 6047. 6047 (read as GOAT numerically) is a Los Angeles based multi styled electronic DJ & producer whose musical diversity is reflected in his mixes & productions. Attention to detail is what is always present in his work. He is a specialist in programming concept & deconstructed mixes of which are a result of nearly 20 years of experience & progression. A specialist in creating a locked groove as well as progressive mixes that range from noise to jungle. Rather than boring people with long-winded bios written in 3rd person about his musical accomplishments he prefers to let the music do all the talking. About the mix:
My interest in ambient music started in the early 90ies with the first releases of Chicago’s Kranky Label e.g. Labradford and later on Pan American and Loscil from Canada (still one of my all-time favs). In paralled I discovered old German Kraut Electronic stuff from the 70ies which opened a complete new world of sound and is still a great inspiration for my own recordings.
Since I’m into making music I like working with deep and minimal sounds, (sub)sonic textures and free-form experiments which creates certain moods and feelings.

I believe that ambient music needs and deserves time to listen to in order to display it’s beauty and depths. When everything’s gently flowing it’s peace of mind.
In this mix I put together some of my recent favs including a couple of older tracks because ambient music is timeless. Enjoy (and please support the artists).

About Kraut Sounds:
Kraut Sounds was born and raised in Munich/Germany, now living in the countryside near the Alps. Formerly playing in bands and DJing, since spring 2012 doing Kraut Sounds. Originally started as a dub techno project, evolving since then into an experimental electronic outfit with deep ambient roots and a certain kraut electronic vein.

In the last years Kraut Sounds did a couple of digital EPs and albums for several dub techno / ambient netlabels: Büro für Erdrotation, Terra Rossa, Spiel:feld Records, Dimbideep Music, Drone Works International (all Germany), Adept Label (Spain) and Dub Techno Blog (UK). Podcasts of Kraut Sounds can be heard at Echogarden, Hello Strange, Spiel:feld, Moshitaka and Technopoetry.

Kraut Sounds also records under the name Polaroid Notes improvisational music file under contemporary classic. Up to now PN did four digital and limited edition CD releases for Audio Gourmet, Tessellate Recordings (both UK) and Büro für Erdrotation (Germany).
