Debut Release: “All Alliteration” Self Released 12th March 2011.

Rock or pop? Punk or progressive? Bristol based trio Hello Lazarus have about as hard a time describing their sound as one does agonising over a self assessment tax return.
In truth the answer might be all four and maybe more.

Debut release: “All Alliteration” showcases all these influences and takes you on a passionate ride through what drives its creators. All power, emotion and at times ambience the 7 track record displays Luke’s intricate yet direct guitar pieces and pitch perfect almost desperate vocals, Adam’s pop-infused nervous energy bass playing and Sean’s ambitious and hard hitting percussion. 

The triumvirate; close friends since school having forged a bond through a shared fondness of all things loud and different gradually wound up starting to make things loud and different themselves. After years of working together on various other projects the three eventually streamlined their sound though refusing to compromise on their musical ethics and ideas, the words “big” &amp; “dynamic” a constant in their pursuit of perfection.

After months of jamming an experimental recording session took place resulting in the free online only release of single “Fold These Walls”. Finally finding their sound the three entered the studio again to record single: “Ladies Love Liars” released free online to critical acclaim “Love the band name, love the song title and love the track.”– Tasty Fanzine and became what would act as precursor to new release “All Alliteration.” 

Entering Ruby Music Studios in the winter of 2010 to start a series of sessions that would become the most accomplished, varied and well rounded record the three have created in all their various projects and years together. The record takes in the brutality and fragility of “Helpful Hands” through pop-rock loops of “Friends, Foes and Fakes” the enigmatic “Pyrite Pirates” before ending with the barrage of “Digital Deity”.

Hello Lazarus are young, ambitious and keen to show that 3-piece rock or whatever they are struggling to call it these days need not be simple or boring, it can be as
big or diverse as your imagination allows it to be.
