Hi! My name is Mae (she/her)

I am a 38 yr old transfem artist in Brooklyn who does dance, music, performance art, software engineering, woodworking, textiles, erotic art, burlesque, and a bunch of other stuff. 

Instruments wise, I play drums, guitar, bass guitar, keys/piano, sax, clarinet, and a little bit of strings and flute. 

grew up in punk and hardcore, went through a heavy jazz phase, also love a lot of funk and soul. Trying to bring things together into a loud-enough mix of dance-able grooves, catchy hooks, and interesting and unexpected rhythmic play. Also interested in starting to integrate more electronic dance music into the instrumentation stuff but we shall see! 

I also play bass in Sea Section, and do experimental improvisational based work on the regular, and live audio engineering.
