Suicidal Thoughts In The Back Of The Cadillac (Prod.Mikey The Magician)

A warts and all recording of a bleary eyed, late night jam. 

The patch is built from a small semi-modular combo; the Dreadbox Erebus and Arturia Microbrute. It was recorded direct into a Teenage Engineering OP-1 with little spring reverb but the dirty BBD in the Erebus was doing most of the work. (Incidentally the BBD was also lightly modulated to provide some light 'vibrato' in the delay)

 I used both the Arturia's keyboard (via CV) and the OP-1 keyboard (via MIDI). Doing so gave different results as the Microbrute can only trigger notes monophonically (only 1 CV and Gate) but the OP-1's midi connection allowed me to make use of the Erebus's paraphony and as such, meant that the drone oscillator (I was only sending pitch cv to osc 1) received Note CC.

The result is messy (I'm no musician) but I find it strangely evocative at times,
