nilla words: "I started this mix when I first learned of Steve's passing over 2 years ago. This mix is meant to function as a tribute first and foremost, which is why it is titled 'Elegy': a poem of serious reflection, typically a lament for the dead. However, it is also meant to represent the journey of a soul into the afterlife, as well as the stages of grief those still living go through while mourning the departed. It was so hard to come up with a fitting end, but it was important to me that the end be somewhat of an uplifting one and not a dark one. I want to remember all the good memories: all the music and artists we shared over the years. I don't know if I ever met another soul like Steve, and I don't think I ever will again. I miss you my friend. I hope we'll meet again someday, on another plane or some other frequency."
