This year saw Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch's production machine shift into top gear. Their fifth #KLARTRAUM studio album 'Manifestation' was released, alongside a raft of supporting #Bandcamp exclusive jams. Launching as pandemic lockdown began to grip worldwide, its blend of deep dub house and sprawling widescreen ambient was a necessary panacea to the global climate. Their previous albums ran with a concept - each quarter of the year saw an EP release that came together to form the full LP. However, 'Manifestation' reset the blueprint, back to a single work, albeit as a two and a half hour mega-album.
While the studio principles have changed, the tradition of the follow up remix album has not, with the KLARTRAUM pairing drafting industry luminaries and Lucidflow family favourites alike. This is no idle boast - names such as Steve Rachmad, Silicone Soul, Terry Francis, Vince Watson, Ian Pooley, and the currently in-demand Saytek have thrown their talent to the reworks in the past, and the current line up is just as glittering.

'Concorde' is the first single from The Subs' highly anticipated new album 'Hologram'.
The Subs worked with French actor and international icon Jean-Pierre Castaldi on the track. One might know this veteran of cinéma from the ‘Astérix’-movies. In the studio, it was a true joy to watch Castaldi perform, what a natural! His deep warm voice gives emotional depth to ‘Concorde’, an upbeat retrofuturistic track that is both an ode to the supersonic wonder of 20th century technology and a love song.

Helmut Ebritsch is best known for his work as one half of Klartraum, alongside partner in crime Nadja Lind as well as for his work as Hatikvah with vocalist Florian Schirmacher. Now he is serving up a full-
length album under his own name, the stunning ‘Souls Transmitting’ that proves his wide-ranging studio skills have no bounds. 

Helmut has been releasing since 1997 on labels like Soma, Darkroom Dubs and Sleep Is Commercial and wrote this new album in Berlin using self built synths, effects and field recordings as well as an array of hardware. The record is inspired by the complete listening experience offered up by Leftfield with their Leftism album during the 1990s and is the first time Helmut has really worked solo. 

“It’s a story about a journey into my deepest pain and deepest joy. So the album is about opposites… dark and light, depressing and uplifting, slow and fast, old and new, warm and cold, sad and happy, healthy and destroyed, personal and transpersonal.” says Ebritsch. 

The fourteen track album is a mind-expanding journey from start to finish that really takes the listener on a sonic ride through a series of different worlds. It is multi-layered and expertly produced so as to have maximum impact. 

‘Souls Transmitting’ opens with the stirring ambiance of ‘Melodies of Power’, immediately transporting you into a cerebral sphere miles away from here. From there it perfectly ebbs and flows through kinetic tech house, downbeat urban experimentation and serene sound worlds that place you right at their centre. 

The title track is hugely arresting with its groaning synths, shadowy voices and Vangelis style futurism. Elsewhere tracks like ‘Emerging’ make for killer dubbed out grooves whilst ‘Flamingo Park’ is an excursion in beat-less sonic beauty. 

Souls Transmitting is a perfectly programmed and seductively sequenced ride from start to finish. It takes you up and down in some style and is surely Helmut Ebritsch’s finest work to date as a result.

‘Pulse’ opens with the kinetic tech house, downbeat urban experimentation and retro bass line sound worlds that place you right at their centre. ‘Feel’ is hugely arresting with its groaning synths, shadowy voices and Helmut style futurism.

Helmut is a born musician and started producing music on a c-64 with Chris Hülsbeck's "Soundmonitor". He totally fell in love with electronic sound and non-heard sound structures. Later he joined the Soundtracker-Scene on the Amiga Computer. But soon he switched to add Synths to his equipment. He then used the Octalizer Tracker to add Midi to his tracks. The Studio evolved over time and then he founded the Art Attack Studio. In 1997 "optophone",berlin released three eps. It was released under realname "Helmut Ebritsch". 
                
                                    
The first House Release was released in the year 1997 with the projectname "Factor E". Screech also started to release on the label "organic records" (Helmut Ebritsch, Candy Dope). 
                
                                    
Several releases later Screech started to join the first internet label "mp3.com" with his house project named "Supergroove Records". Seemingly coming from nowhere Supergroove Records shot to the top of the house charts on mp3.com since April 2000 and has remained at the top ever since. Until the end of mp3.com in the year 2003 SGR got around 1500000 Downloads and Plays. Several tracks are licensed to other Labels like Juice Recordings(USA), Le Bien Et Le Mal (Germany), Horny State (Germany), Virgin (Germany). 
                
                                    
Screech moved to berlin and joined forces together with Harry Seldom on Organic Domain Records (Dub Taylor / Tigerskin Label).  In cooperation with Nadja Lind he dreams a dream of clear,emotional,deep music as the project : "KLARTRAUM" with several releases on night drive music, gastspiel and persistencebit recordings. 
Hatikvah is the spiritual deep house project together with singer and songwriter Florian Schirmacher. Watch out for releases soon...
Several Screech/Harry Seldom releases will be released on Night Drive Music and 3rd Wave.
