Description: After the somber opening of the Pandemic Suite (part I) and the fanfare of endurance (part II), the suite now glides in Allegro through scenes of carefree joy— a vivid remembrance of days when life was still perceived without a shadow, and laughter moved freely through the air.

Just what one would want from the third movement of a suite, we await the fourth movt.

This section of the suite gives voice to a gradual collapse. 
It begins with a distress call— two flutes sounding the alarm— and the orchestra rises in a surge of defiance. But slowly, disorder seeps into harmony, and unity begins to fracture. The trombones, the trumpets, the woodwinds, the harp — each desperately striving to find unity with the strings. Note by note, the ensemble dissolves into despair, an orchester unraveling in sorrow's embrace. At last, beneath the faint tremolo of the timpani, the music comes to a complete and haunting standstill.

Pandemic Suite – 05. Demise

Following the somber opening of the Pandemic Suite, this hymn of hope begins to rise. Echoing Mendelssohn’s chorale from Elijah— "Wer bis an das Ende beharrt", engl: “He that shall endure to the end”— the brass instruments proclaim a steadfast call to persevere through the weight of troubled times.

Prelude

A-Sister Morpheus

I stumbled across an uninhabited white mansion when I was out for a run in the countryside. I got chatting to the security guard looking after it, who let me look round the grounds. He told me a ballet dancer once lived there. I made up a song about the ballet dancer. 
I ended up pouring a lot of my anxieties into the story of poor dancer- they have ended up being a horrendous mix of my personal and political fears. 
I think this song is kind of fantastically ridiculous- an OTT 10 minute epic, with a whole horror-theme 2 minute instrumental at the end. I love it.
