Born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, immigrated to Montreal, Canada where my interest in the arts began to flourish. Surrounded by many talented friends (from Explosive Sistas step-dance group and Tis Abbay Ethiopian Youth Band) much moved by music and dance, I learnt from them and was able to take my interest to the next level.
Moved to Toronto a few years later, joined Nouvel Exposé Dance Troupe, spent the next six years dancing and learning. I learnt how to listen to music, how to dissect it while moving along with it. Most importantly, I learnt how to stay in-tune with my body. I learnt many different styles of dances while with Nouvel.

Today I continue to learn my life lessons thankful for all my fortunes.

My debut album "Tsetita", a collection of songs, old and new that I have recorded these past few months, was released on August 25th 2011.
