In this song, he asks the question: "am I and my people cursed with all these challenges because of the fact we are Cape Coloured?" Yet in the same breath he makes a BOLD STATEMENT to say, we do overcome and survive these life obstacles because WE ARE COLOURED! This song is intended to highlight and salute all Coloured people of South Africa and abroad.

YOMA releases a tribute to all women as part of South Africa’s Women’s day celebrations

“Roes” which means rust in English is defined as “a reddish or yellowish-brown flaking coating of iron oxide that is formed on iron or steel by oxidation, especially in the presence of moisture”. Interestingly enough in her new poetic-interlude YOMA uses carefully crafted metaphors and wordplay to encourage us to not allow ourselves to rust on an emotional, mental and/or physical level.

Being a lady herself in a male dominated Hip hop industry, YOMA dedicates this song to all women as a reminder of their ability and strength as women. She encourages women (and all listeners) to safe-guard their lives against the dangers of rust.

What is abundantly clear in this song is YOMA’s ability to transcend her writing and delivery from vibey and hard hitting boom bap Hip hop beats onto a softer, delicate and more soulful medium which is intended to sooth the listener into her story.

Klein Fortuin releases his highly anticipated "Mitchell's Klein" EP. This project was originally launched on 26 January 2018 at the Northernlights Hip hop event and this is Klein Fortuin's debut full body of work since joining Katalis Productions in 2017.

Songs such as: "Dag Een" "Vêkyke" & "Lyn Span" are already enjoying airtime on Radio stations such as GoodHope FM & Bush Radio. These songs, along with the tracks: "Dont Skaal Me" has also been featured in Kyknet's youth drama T.V series "DanZ!".

The EP boasts music production by Gsoul Beats, Lance Luger & DJ Gakkie.
