It isn't hard to consider this song the epitome of melancholy.

I hadn't heard much of Lana Del Rey before Ruby asked if we could record a cover, and doing this one was actually what got me started recording and producing covers here. I should make it clear that quite a lot of this one was done by Ruby. Alongside singing the lead part (if you couldn't tell already, she has an incredible voice), she played the guitar and violin.

It's been interesting trying to imitate an e-bass with my guitar using Logic's Varispeed feature but for some reason I decided to just play the bass on the low E string tuned down to C. Also, these have begun to get real long; most of my instrumental electronic/dance/trap tracks were like 2:30-3:00 max and these are all close to 4 minutes and this one is almost six minutes. I'm getting slightly burnt out with covers but imma try and keep them coming because they've been fun.
