Stan wrote (and performed) these four songs for the theater piece 'Find Me A Boring Stone' - a monologue about loss, mourning and how to find comfort in the seemingly smallest banalities of everyday life, written by Rik van den Bos.

The Party Has Ended

The party has ended. Everyone's back home.
Left overs and lilies and styrofoam.
The smell of goodbye still hangs in the air.
Sleep overs, roses and tupperware.

A car starts. A dog barks. The churchbells strike noon.
And someone is whistling an improvised tune.
It will all pass with time they said.

The party has ended. The phone's playing dead.
The postbox stopped throwing up on the doormat.
There's mold on the cake. The coffee's grown cold
Yesterweeks news keeps growing old.

A car parks. A cat barks. The churchbells strike twelve.
And someone is talking out loud to himself.
It will all pass with time they said.

And I don't want that. I don't want anything to pass.
Grief has been good to me. It's the only friend that I need right now.
The blanket that puts me sleep right now.

The party has ended. The streamers have dropped.
And deep in my chest the last balloon has popped.
The centre of the world has shifted once again.
And in reverse the universe starts to expand.
