Pushmaster Discs is proud to present a new project collaboration with label owner Mattia Trani and the rising techno talent Onyvaa from Los Angeles. The American producer joins the label with a massive pure Nu school-Detroit techno spirit combined with atmospheric chords and solid 909 rhythm patterns. “Climax EP” is a collection of studio jam session tracks written between Barcelona and Bologna from Mattia and Shelby, including also two big Rave/Acid Techno remixes from Icelander producer Dj Exos, which we are delighted to premiere today; a total acid orgasm with a straight kick and unexpected rave surprises on the way; a 100% smasher, while we are reminiscing powerful moments on the dance-floor.

Originaire de Cologne en Allemagne, cette amoureuse de longue date des musiques électroniques s’est mise aux platines, devinez où, eh bien dans notre bonne ville de Rennes où elle a passé une année bien remplie, c’est aino dj aka Luisa que nous sommes heureux de recevoir. 

De retour à Cologne, elle s’est mise à jouer dans des open airs comme Rosa Rot, mais le fameux virus est passé par là, et pour l’instant c’est chez elle et dans des clubs vides que ça se passe. Heureusement, ÖND est là pour vous faire profiter de son style à base de rythmes breakés et de mélodies trance.

New Wave Podcast 033: YTP

The electro and ghetto scene has enjoyed a successful renaissance over the past few years taking it back to the top of the dance music pyramid and one of the biggest beneficiaries of this was Dundee based artist; YTP. Contributing to many of the scene's biggest labels, his music perfectly embodies the fun, bouncy nature to the genre. More impressively, his sound also pays homage to many of the pioneers before him, by fusing 90s drexciyan sounds with crisply produced modern electro.

From an outsider's perspective it seemed obvious to assume that YTPs roots stemmed from rap/hip-hop, with the how often he samples in his music today. However, it was intriguing to hear that it was only once discovering Texstasy's ghettotech work that he was drawn into hip hop and even admits that he found it impossible to enjoy rap music in a club environment.  Since then, he has built up an arsenal of tracks to sample from, which he has used so effectively in his music today.

In addition to the ever expanding discography and accolades as an artist, YTP is involved in the main collective pushing the harder side of electronic music in Dundee. Bringing artists like Tommy Holohan and Clouds, his event company Floor Above have built a community in a city who's thirst for this sound is lacking. Their events at Beat Generator have certainly turned heads within the city and we can guarantee their continued success once the pandemic is over.
