This is one of those tracks we’ve been waiting to unleash on all of y’all and the time has never been better.

Engineered initially as a freestyle just to meet each other, “Sequence” features multiple vocal offerings from Yonnie, Nel Souls, and El En, as well as a very cool feature from The Big Climax, 1 beat from the Yonnie collection, and 1 from our boy Tristan’s.

El En (Louie)’s first verse is all about feeling the waxing and waning of bipolar induced depression. Yonnie (Tom) comes out talking about good vibes, almost as if to cheer him up, and then it suddenly switches beats as Nels takes control of the track, delivers the song’s true hook, and then passes the mic off to Yonnie and The Big Climax to keep the party going on the subject of good times and piles of expendable cash.

By the time Nels and Louie get back to where the song wraps up, the song has become a statement on how life has a lot of ups and downs but there’s a hustle and a party and a million other things just around the corner. It’s something inspiring when you think about it.

In the outro section, there’s a reprisal of the opening verse and Nel’s chorus. In these moments, the bipolar references and hope for a better day shouts louder; reminding us AGAIN that things could always be different, even when we’re feeling low. 

Previewing this song, we knew it’s not going to be everybody’s cup of tea but we’re proud of it. Some people have loved it, some people have hated it, but we can’t keep it on a shelf anymore bc all 5 of us involved think this song is so extremely fun. 

That said, enjoy this experiment and if you’re struggling please keep your head up. You’re not alone.
