Hello! Thanks for visiting my channel. This week I am extremely happy to present a special music video for my newest song, KK Stroll! The creation of this video coincided with Comiket 88 here in Japan, so I met up with my friend Matt (of Rescue the Princess fame) who filmed me and my friend Rekcahdam for our very own cosplay music video. Even though it was extremely hot and crowded, I'm still so happy with the result! I hope you'll enjoy this video.

Pearl Heart

This is the demo for Mr. Greg from the Steven Universe episode, Mr. Greg!

I love old timey, vaudeville-y schtick.  And Greg spending big bucks at a fancy big city hotel had old timey schtick written all over it.  While writing the outline for Mr. Greg, I came up with the first half of this tune and pitched it a cappella to the group.  It felt very silly, but it must have amused everyone enough to stay in the picture.

We started making a demo.  I had the beginnings of a bass line and the percussion, and Jeff came in and made it an actual song with some great jazzy chords and an insane guitar solo, which I'm pretty sure he just improvised.

Like I said before, the song was originally only the first verse and the instrumental.  In the outline, Greg, gets so caught up in the spirit of the music that he asks Pearl to dance, and that's when she pulls away - showing that Greg and Pearl have a long way to go.

We showed the demo to Joe, and I believe he was the one who said this needs a second verse.  And together we wrote a second verse, with Pearl singing, that incorporated those story beats into the lyrics.

Mr. Greg (Demo)

I felt a little bad that I don't have anything ready to show you guys from my second year of uni. I will have some proper finalised tracks for you all soon, but in the meantime, I thought I would share this rough, fun little thing I recorded on my phone (which is why the sound quality is not great). The song is performed using a RC50 Looper, all voices are mine.
