It's been quite a while since I uploaded my last mixtape.
After at least 3 years of discovering new music and sitting on a lot of old tunes too, I finally decided to create a new mix - this time, just in time for the summer sunshine (or the winter, if you're in the southern hemisphere!)

I wanted to create a mix that captured the essence of my first mix, a whole 5 years ago (entitled "Summer Re-Spray", link in bio ;) ), but reflected the growth of my musical preferences as well as my personal growth over this past half a decade.

I would be straight lying through my teeth if I said that this was easy to write and record! In fact, it took me around 2 years on and off and a lot of blood, sweat and tears along the way in order to create a mixtape that showcased the more chilled, yet emotive side of the house music that I love and that shapes who I am.
Thus, I created a continuous mega mix, which has been split into different parts - this is Part 3 / 9.
This part starts off as a continuation of the end of Part 2, and is composed of deeper, sunnier, groovier and at times heavier shades of deep house with an essence of the sea, recreating the soundscapes you would expect to hear from sunrise to sunset and back to sunrise at the beach - a selection of flavours from members of the Anjunadeep family mostly :)

This was recorded on a pair of Pioneer CDJ850's and a DJM700 mixer, using a Reloop Tape. Unfortunately, my decks are quite old and not as smooth as before (eg. with loops), so at times I rushed when recording this mix and the transitions didn't come out as smooth as I'd hoped! Also the recording device/decks had some minor hiccups whilst recording, so at times the audio may sound slightly corrupted... however the vast vast majority of the file is perfectly listenable :)

I will be uploading new Parts of the Summer Mixtape in the coming weeks, and removing old Parts/mixes from my Soundcloud (but don't worry, I will be uploading those to my Mixcloud account ~ Link in bio)
