Hamburg duo Adana Twins have locked in their next release with the celebrated Berlin-based Watergate Records, handing over three originals and two remix offerings for their upcoming EP, 'Flower Of Cane'.

Their title track lands on Mixmag today, exploding out of the gate with a dark, sinister-tinged sound that melds in a devilish harmony with the Adana Twins' now signature rumbling and grinding techno take. Hooking listeners in with one, consistently rising note, 'Flower Of Cane' crashes upwards into a charged crescendo at its very peak.

The EP is out on Watergate Records on June 19.

Together from birth, two brothers united by their passion for music and more, Pongo is the latest sound evolution of Giovanni Bruni and Daniele Bruni. Growing up with a very similar musical culture, handed down in turn by their parents, the two brothers have always shared their art projects together. Giovanni started playing as a DJ in the early 2000s now enjoying success in the most famous clubs of the clubbing scene in Tuscany. Soon, his younger brother Daniele follows the same steps as supporting him in DJ sets and creating their first music projects together. In 2011, together with Luca L. and Elia C. founded the brand Yuma Recordings.In addition to the  label ,Yuma began to be known for the club event, Yuma Nights, and in 2013 the collective Yuma created the Vibe Club, a place that offered innovative sound in Italian nightlife. The brothers felt that they had to make their most personal productions, with which they can open up more towards a wider musical landscape.
 After a period of evolution in the studio in 2016, it's time to get back on stage for Giovanni and Daniele with their new Pongo project that takes shape with Giovanni on vocals. Their strong influences that fuses electronics, soul, and techno have created this new way of approaching the dancefloor: the combination of evocative song and a powerful and refined set.

‘Days Gone’ is the highly-anticipated return of core Afterlife act and fans favourite, Mind Against. A year after their ‘Solaris’ EP (AL002), the duo of Alex and Federico Fognini show once again why their moving, supremely-produced tracks are held in such esteem.

The title track takes you to another dimension, with a synth line spiralling into cosmic space and drums beating into oblivion. ‘Cloud Nine’, a classy, comparatively-understated cut for the early hours brings the energy back down. Stepping up to remix ‘Cloud Nine’ is Dystopian talent Alex.Do, who strips the sound back and distills the original’s graceful flourishes, completing a high-quality chapter in the Afterlife story.

Nacim Gastli and Pandhora are back on AVM with "Metanoia", their second collaboration. Written between Tunis, Paris, and Marseille, Metanoia merges three minds in one progressive melodic piece.

In Ancient Greece, μετάνοια means a radical change in one's behavior and mind patterns,  supposedly for the better. Later on,  Carl Jung used the word to describe an inner healing initiated by unconscious means. This concept is resonating deeply with the artists in this period. Here's the concept expressed with music through their own personal prism.

The exceptionally talented, Copenhagen-based Denis Horvat joins the ranks of Afterlife Recordings with ‘Modelo’, a three-track EP charged with spritely synth lines and charisma. The title track’s nine-and-a-half minute run time makes for a spellbinding journey, as the layers weave seamlessly into a vivid canvas of sound. ‘The Bender’ is more direct, lending itself to peak hours in the club with a buoyant bassline, sharp claps and melody of sirens. Ending the record is ‘Natural Causes’, an entrancing trip through dreamy arpeggios that grooves up-and-down, taking the dancers with it. These three cuts have proven vital in the sets of label owners Tale Of Us and and now see the light of day to continue the theme.

After touring the globe with a three-piece band, Desert Sound Colony, the alias of Liam Wachs, has made a welcome return to his dancefloor roots. His forthcoming EP Tethered is set for release on Edu Imbernon’s Fayer with remixes from acclaimed producers H.O.S.H, The Drifter and Denis Horvat.

The vocals of title track Tethered reach out to you like a tribal calling, whilst guitar strings lead into a hypnotic trance that is interspersed with cosmic sounds and clashing cymbals. Wachs describes it as “most appropriate for an after hours session or a sunrise at a festival.” Whereas Sunrise of My Mind is deep and bassy with a broken beat that yearns to be heard on a huge soundsystem. “Somewhere between the dub and breakbeat sounds of Leeds circa 2009 and the weirder side of bands today” he explains.

The second track receives two reworks. The first from Dynamic favourite H.O.S.H is layered to the brim, sending the tune to another dimension. Denmark’s Denis Horvat who has released on labels like Afterlife and Innervisions delivers a darker, more techno leaning version. Maeve label boss The Drifter reworks Tethered by slowing the beat down a notch but still retaining plenty of groove to satisfy any dancefloor.

An artist with many talents, Desert Sound Colony has released on admired labels like Scissor & Thread and Me Me Me. Recently he has graced the stages of many respected festivals alongside names such as Ewan Pearson, Kenny Larkin, Hunee and Craig Richards.

We are proud to present you our next release. For this release we have Alive making his debut on the label with delivering an outstanding release.

Alive was starting as a dj in the end of 90’s. As a dj he played at clubs, party's and festivals like WMC, Sonar, Katerblau, Tresor, Egg Club and he shared the Dj booths with acts like Jamie Jones, Tale Of Us, Dixon, Recondite, Matador, Ame and many more.
Meanwhile he settled up my his own brand called StayFly in 2008. Through this label and events he brought some of the biggest names to Budapest as a promoter.

The next step was setting up his Alive project as a producer which he started in 2015. Now we present you here his debut.
The EP comes with great remixes from Teenage Mutants and Peter Makto & Gregory S.
