Playing with the resonance and cutoff to get a melody out of the filter on the crave there

First go at jamming with this one. mb33 lead sequenced on the korg es2 and played through audio in there to add tape delay. korg er1 on percussion and the es2 providing low end to the kick. For the bass I put a synth sound down on the es2 and sent midi to the Crave and then audio from the crave to the er1 and it works well. A couple of the top end percussive bits on the ES2 came out a little loud so I'll bring those down in the next mix of this as they get in the way a bit.

First go playing around with this set of beats and melodies. Slow to get going but enjoyed it. Chill. Though Silas' photo caught the thread of the thing. 

detuning through use of LFO and then through MONSOON too with different results or then using both. a highlight was slowing the moog mother 32 lead line down to half time but having the MONSOON bouncing the tune back to double time and therefore maintaining the original rhythm. yum. 

that acid line is pretty gnarly too. enjoyed throwing that together. weaves in and out of everything else nicely.

Quick play with the cosmotronic delta V and the dfam. delta V is modulating vco 1 on the subH. then also patched the vca of the mother 32 into the delta V vca and out to the monsoon for further granular modulation. gated lfo controlling cutoff of the subH and a few other little patches e.g dfam has vco2 into vco decay…

In the latest installment of our "Delayed with..." podcast series, we're thrilled to present a mix by the talented Edmondson. Hailing from Newcastle and now based in London, Edmondson's musical journey has taken him on adventures in Berlin and the scenic landscapes of southern France. With releases on labels like Me Me Me and Hypercolour, as well as his very own imprint, Lissoms, Edmondson's music has found its way into eclectic sets across the spectrum. From boat parties to the legendary Berghain, his tracks have graced diverse dancefloors. Edmondson's passion for playing and collecting music since 2006 shines through in his DJ sets, which effortlessly traverse the sonic landscape. His mixes encompass a rich variety of genres, spanning from ambient to techno, weaving through the various shades of house, UK garage, neo-soul, disco, and modern minimal.

Edmondson's latest mix for our podcast series is a masterfully curated, stylish musical narrative that gradually builds in energy with each passing chapter. It serves as the perfect soundtrack for a late-night drive through the rain-soaked streets of Manhattan, where the city's skyscrapers cast their luminous glow, and the urban pulse remains undeterred by the persistent rain. The mix skillfully strikes a balance between melancholy introspection and the irresistible grooves of a late-night adventure.

When asked about his creative process for this mix, Edmondson's response offers a glimpse into the artistic mind behind the music: "I always like to think that a good mix has a natural flow embedded into it, almost like a day/night cycle. I used the first half to focus on combining some more delicate and introspective sounds (the kind which Delayed does such a good job of celebrating) and went a bit more off the cuff with some more deep & clubby stuff towards the end. I feel like autumn is always a fruitful time for music discovery as life moves back indoors, so I tried to make the kind of mix which I would hope to stumble upon for the colder days & nights."
