"Thirstin'" takes the day-in-the-life quintessence of "Something (On My Mind)" even farther, using his voice to beautify the sparkling, spaced track. The B-Side "Atmosphère" is just as mighty, as Jack channels a velvet Patrick Adams vibe in this gorgeous instrumental, the pianos in particular take the song to a galactic place. Both tracks feel like you could live inside them, each as good for walking around This Life chillin' as they are for the party. Essential Summer Music.

The latest entry into Toy Tonics ' catalogue of fine house and techno-leaning releases comes courtesy of label mainstays Rhode & Brown. Snabsnus marks the duo’s fourth release (and third EP) on the Berlin-based imprint, which fans of new era deep house should surely be familiar with at this point.. The EP builds on the aesthetic of their previous release, Tunnel Woman, incorporating heady samples and synth work with both vintage feel and new era stylo.

With gusto, Bolting Bits brings you the premiere for the A1 track on the release. “St Hippolyte” is a moody, pensive joint built on dark, hazy synths and a funky breakbeat. Ultimately, the track climaxes via a thick, acid-inspired riff that leads the arrangement almost to its close. The track, much like the EP, is a clear reflection of the duo’s production approach; an amalgamation of analogue hardware and samplers.

After releases on Rhythm Section, Church and West Friends the 2 DJs, producers and record shop dons from London/ Peckham chose the German Toy Tonics label for their next release. 
The guys know what’s fresh in club culture. They’ve been store managers at one of London’s coolest record stores: Rye Wax/ Peckham for the last 2 years. And they are becoming one of the most interesting names of the post-house scene of London.
Their first encounter with Toy Tonics was through label boss Kapote. They quickly realized that there are big similarities in their musical vision and way how dance music should develop... so what makes more sense to make an EP together?

So here it comes: FYI Chris next level electronic funk music! MPC style.
