July 5th, 1999: New WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is slated for a rematch with The Undertaker at "Fully Loaded," and a tempting offer from Vince McMahon ups the stakes of the match even further. In our main event, The Rock and Triple-H look to settle their differences inside of a Steel Cage! WWF Tag Team Champions The Acolytes put their titles on the line against the up-and-coming Hardy Boyz. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James goes one-on-one with Val Venis... until one of them gets arrested. The Big Show & Hardcore Holly face Kane in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, but "The Big Red Machine" doesn't appear to be all that fazed by those odds. Gangrel squares off with The Godfather, who has Droz & Prince Albert acting as his Hoes for the night. Jeff Jarrett defends his WWF Intercontinental Title against Chaz (yes, that's right -- Chaz has somehow earned a title shot). Reigning King of the Ring Billy Gunn looks to get back on track with a win against Meat. Test's rivalry with Shane McMahon and The Mean Street Posse continues to escalate as he steps into the ring with Joey Abs. The Big Boss Man was riding high last week when he rejoined The Corporate Ministry, but can he carry that momentum into his match against Edge? Al Snow puts his WWF Hardcore Title on the line against D'Lo Brown. Plus, GTV strikes again, Chyna claims that DX has vandalized her rental car, and Amy Dumas (the future Lita) makes her first appearance in The WWF!

Meanwhile over on "Nitro," Bret Hart speaks for the first time since his brother Owen's death, and Goldberg makes his grand return at a Megadeth concert!

Episode 81: The Hardy Boyz Win Their First Titles!

July 12th, 1999: Before the Steve Austin / Undertaker match at "Fully Loaded" can become official, a contract must be finalized.... and Vince McMahon signs it in Austin's blood! But later on, an angry "Stone Cold" looks for some vengeance as he teams up with The Big Show to face The Undertaker and his brother Kane. In one of the most shocking moments we've seen on "Raw" in months, Shane McMahon's attempt to humble Test goes horribly wrong when an unintended victim gets injured. Triple-H, Billy Gunn, and Chyna face "The Road Dogg," X-Pac, and a very electrifying replacement in a six-person tag match. In their first Tag Team Title defense, The Hardy Boyz defend their newly-won belts against The Godfather & Val Venis. After turning his back on Edge last week, Gangrel must now face him in a match tonight on "Raw," and the finish is quite a spectacle. WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett is set for some promo time, but he gets interrupted by an unexpected visitor. After losing their Tag Team Titles last week, the pissed-off Acolytes decide to take out their frustrations on an unlikely wrestler. Darren Drozdov issues an open challenge for an Evening Gown Match because sometimes you just have to kill five minutes of television time. Plus, the acting Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura is set to return to the WWF after a nine-year absence, the Countdown to the Millennium is on, and The Rock cuts a hilarious promo on Billy Gunn!

Meanwhile on "Nitro," new World Champion Randy Savage is immediately dethroned by the freshly-face-turned Hulk Hogan!

Episode 82: Vince McMahon Signs a Contract in Steve Austin's Blood!

July 19th, 1999: Vince McMahon decides to shake things up a bit by pitting Corporate Ministry members The Undertaker and Triple-H against each other, with the winner facing Steve Austin for the WWF Title this Sunday at "Fully Loaded." And speaking of "Stone Cold," he arrives in a very unusual vehicle and vows to extract some blood from Vince's skull before the night is over! The Rock squares off with reigning King of the Ring Billy Gunn, who has been on a bit of a losing streak lately. The Big Show & Hardcore Holly face X-Pac & Kane, with the highlight being a post-match moment where "The Big Red Machine" decides whether or not to join up with his brother. Shane McMahon pledges to apologize to his sister Stephanie after accidentally elbowing her in the face last week.... but instead, he ends up blaming Test. And later on, the aforementioned Test steps into the ring with Steve Blackman. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James is slated to face Chyna in a Dogg Pound Match, where both competitors are forced to wear dog collars around their necks. The Hardy Boyz put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line in a four-team Elimination Match which also features The Godfather & Val Venis, The Acolytes, and Droz & Prince Albert. Jeff Jarrett defends his WWF Intercontinental Title against Christian, who has somehow become the #1 contender. In your Random Match of the Week, Edge & D'Lo Brown team up to face the unusual pair of Gangrel & Mideon. The Big Boss Man is scheduled to face Al Snow, who has now gone even crazier since his beloved Head has been desecrated. Plus, GTV heads to Hollywood to eavesdrop on Ben Stiller and the cast of "Mystery Men!"

Meanwhile over on "Nitro," they give away Hulk Hogan vs. Sid on free TV, The Insane Clown Posse make their debut, and Shane Douglas returns after a six-year absence! And if that wasn't enough for you, the stars of WCW also make an appearance on the HBO sitcom "Arli$$!"

In your main event, The Rock faces Billy Gunn & Chyna in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match.
The Undertaker is seeking revenge on X-Pac & Kane, and he may have found a partner-in-crime to help him out.
Jeff Jarrett celebrates his Intercontinental Title victory by interviewing a special guest: the star of "Mystery Men," Ben Stiller!
New Tag Team Champions The Acolytes put their titles on the line against Edge & Christian while Hardcore Holly watches on from ringside.
Val Venis & The Godfather face Droz & Prince Albert, who have a familiar-looking "fan" in the crowd backing them up.
WWF Women's Champion Ivory issues another open challenge, but she gets more than she bargained for when a familiar face interrupts the festivities.
Plus, Kane speaks(!), Al Snow befriends a chihuahua, and we get an excerpt from Jim Ross's book "Under the Black Hat" where he discusses tonight's episode of "Raw!"

Episode 84: "Fully Loaded 1999" / "Raw" Mega-Episode! (w/Sal from The Rundown)

August 2nd, 1999: WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is scheduled to face The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred Match for the title tonight.... but new #1 contender Triple-H may have something to say about that. And speaking of The Undertaker, he has enlisted The Big Show as his new tag team partner, and they team up to face Kane & "The Road Dogg" Jesse James. We get a promo duel between The Rock and Billy Gunn, which somehow features a large woman's naked ass on the TitanTron for an uncomfortably long period of time. With Vince McMahon officially gone from The WWF, his son Shane takes it upon himself to disband The Corporate Ministry. However, Shane may have bigger things to worry about now that his sister's boyfriend Test is swearing vengeance on "The Boy Wonder" and The Mean Street Posse. And to prove how serious he is, Test proceeds to beat the living crap out of Rodney. We get a rare Title vs. Title Match as Jeff Jarrett puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against European Champion D'Lo Brown, and the winner takes all! Edge faces Gangrel in a Bloodbath Match -- but whose side is Christian on? The Big Boss Man puts his Hardcore Title on the line against his former Corporate Ministry stablemate Viscera. Val Venis steps into the ring with Steve Blackman.... until Ken Shamrock proceeds to extract some revenge on "The Lethal Weapon."

Plus, Hardcore Holly continues his one-man war against The Acolytes, The Nitro Girls get their own pay-per-view, and The Millennium Countdown has only seven days left!

August 9th, 1999: The Rock has been tormented by The Big Show lately, so he issues a challenge to the big man for a match later on tonight (while hilariously mocking him in the process). But before that match can occur..... The Millennium Countdown clock expires, and we get the WWF debut of one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time! Acting Governor of Minnesota Jesse "The Body" Ventura returns to The WWF for the first time in nine years, and he books tonight's main event: WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker vs. Triple-H! However, when someone ambushes "Stone Cold" backstage, Commissioner Shawn Michaels changes the bout to a #1 Contendership Match, and he inserts a surprising replacement: Chyna! The Acolytes put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line against the resurgent team of X-Pac & Kane. Val Venis goes one-on-one with Jeff Jarrett, who continues to be displeased with Debra. WWF Hardcore Champion The Big Boss Man faces "The Road Dogg" Jesse James in a Hardcore Match...... where the title is somehow not on the line. Steve Blackman & Joey Abs square off with the formidable team of Ken Shamrock & Test. Christian steps into the ring with Gangrel, who appears to have some new friends on his side.

Plus, The Rock shows up on MTV in order to make fun of Carson Daly, Billy Gunn's masseuse sabotages his glorious ass, and Kane speaks his first words without the assistance of his voicebox!

The slumping Legion of Doom go up against The Quebecers while WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws look to cause more mischief. Ken Shamrock battles Sniper as The Truth Commission continues to squabble internally. NWA Tag Team Champions The Rock 'n Roll Express put their belts on the line against The Headbangers in a match which is contested under NWA rules. Taka Michinoku and Aguila battle Brian Christopher and Pirata Morgan (and yes, he is a wrestling pirate). Plus, Michael P.S. Hayes (or is it Dok Hendrix?) returns to his home state in order to act as a guest ring announcer, but things do not exactly go as planned for the recent WWE Hall of Fame inductee. Chainz goes one-on-one with Faarooq, and The Rock seeks to help out his Nation of Domination pal....... or does he? Sable is presented with a commemorative plaque by Vince Russo(!), but Luna Vachon and The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust crash the party. Steve Blackman puts his undefeated streak on the line against "Double-J" Jeff Jarrett. Former tag team partners Bradshaw and Barry Windham attempt to settle their feud over who is the WWF's most dominant overweight cowboy. In one of the most famous moments in WWE history, D-Generation-X seeks to take the fight directly to World Championship Wrestling by invading a nearby taping of "Nitro." Later in the night, Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws battle Skull & 8-Ball in a non-title match while Triple-H issues an open challenge for his European Title. Vince McMahon considers firing WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for his actions the previous night but instead he puts him into a title match against The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust, much to the chagrin of Dude Love. Ken Shamrock & Owen Hart take on The Rock & Mark Henry, but a shocking swerve results in one of the competitors being badly injured. The Undertaker faces (of all people) Barry Windham in The Dead Man's first match on "Raw" in four months. After the match, Paul Bearer proposes a truce to 'Taker and delivers a shocking revelation about his relationship to Kane. Sable finally decides to stick up for herself by challenging Marc Mero to a match on "Raw" two weeks from now because potential spousal abuse = ratings! Jeff Jarrett goes one-on-one with Bradshaw as Club Kamikaze continues to make life difficult for the future JBL. Terry Funk & 2 Cold Scorpio square off with The Headbangers in a match where the winning team receives a shot at the WWF Tag Team Titles.

This episode is almost two and a half hours long but, much like Val Venis, we refuse to apologize for the length.

Episode 19: DX Invades WCW! (w/Troy Boesen from The Geek & Gamer Guild)

June 1st, 1998: It's the night after "Over the Edge," and things continue to get even crazier in the WWF! For the first time ever, The Undertaker breaks his "Dead Man" character and cuts a worked shoot promo demanding that Vince McMahon give him a shot at the WWF Title. The boss somewhat gives him what he wants as he then schedules a match on "Raw" for the #1 contendership: The Undertaker vs. Kane! D-Generation-X battles The Nation of Domination in a six-man tag team elimination match, but a returning superstar ends up angering both sides. Dude Love was not able to win his title match at "Over the Edge," and this failure may end up costing Mick Foley his job. In our first King of the Ring Qualifying Match of the night, Steve Blackman takes on "Marvelous" Marc Mero, who introduces us to his brand new valet. In our second qualifier, Faarooq goes head-to-head with Jeff Jarrett, who now has a repackaged tag team watching his back. And in our third qualifier, Terry Funk almost kills himself attempting to defeat Mark Henry. L.O.D. 2000 & Droz take on The Disciples of Apocalypse in a Chicago Street Fight, a.k.a. sloppily brawling in an alleyway with a bunch of weapons. Val Venis cuts his first ever in-ring promo (spoiler: it's not very good) and then he goes one-on-one with Papi Chulo. Taka Michinoku defends his Light Heavyweight Championship against the still-employed-by-WWE-in-2016 Funaki. Plus, Vader provides us with the greatest soundbite of his entire career!

D'Lo Brown puts his European Title on the line against X-Pac in a precursor to what will become a pretty solid feud throughout the fall of 1998.
In a match which somehow main events this show, the new-look Jeff Jarrett goes head-to-head with Scorpio.
Val Venis squares off with Vader because you can never have too many V's.
The Oddities go up against L.O.D. 2000 and Droz, but Hawk's personal demons continue to plague him.
Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman have apparently patched up their differences, so they unite to face The Disciples of Apocalypse.
Edge takes on Marc Mero while the commentators continue to speculate about Edge's past with Gangrel.
Southern Justice do battle with The Headbangers because these are apparently two of the strongest tag teams on the roster at the moment.
Too Much and Los Boricuas have a match, but the most noteworthy aspect of it is the fact that Jesus Castillo is wearing atrocious dad jeans.
Tiger Ali Singh continues his humiliation of greedy Americans by having a sardine-chomping Babu make out with a young woman from the crowd.
Plus, Al Snow gets a sitdown interview with Jim Ross despite the fact that he and Head are supposed to be gone from the company.

Tonight on "Raw," Austin seeks to get revenge on the chairman by taking him hostage and seemingly threatening to murder him on live television! The Undertaker reunites with Paul Bearer to form what he calls his Ministry of Darkness, and Bearer proceeds to tell Kane that he has no use for him anymore. "The Big Red Machine" then responds by challenging his older brother to a Casket Match tonight on "Raw!" With The Nation of Domination having shockingly broken up last week, The Rock steps into the ring with his former stablemate D'Lo Brown. New WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock faces new WWF European Champion X-Pac as Chyna looks on.... until police officers show up to arrest her. Mankind squares off with Val Venis, and "The Big Valbowski" later appears to have a falling out with Terri Runnels over some sort of secret she tells him. Steve Blackman goes up against Jeff Jarrett, who now has a new valet in his corner: Debra McMichael! Episode 44: The Undertaker Forms The Ministry of Darkness & Vince McMahon Pisses His Pants!

November 2nd, 1998: After being humiliated by his son Shane last week, Vince McMahon sets out to establish his dominance by bullying wrestlers, commentators, and even a random celebrity backstage! Ken Shamrock puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against The Rock and, if "The People's Champ" doesn't become the actual champ, he will no longer be the #1 contender to the WWF Title. The New Age Outlaws & X-Pac team up to face the newly-formed stable which we now know is called The Brood. Mankind & Al Snow unite for the second week in a row to take on Oddities members Kurrgan & Golga. And speaking of Mankind, Mr. McMahon briefly pauses his reign of terror to give Mick Foley a special gift: the brand new WWF Hardcore Title! The still-injured Dan Severn confronts Owen Hart and accuses him of being The Blue Blazer, but Severn may be in for a surprise by the time the night is over. Val Venis goes one-on-one with Jeff Jarrett in a rematch from the previous night's episode of "Sunday Night Heat." The Headbangers square off against D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry, with the winning team getting a shot at The Outlaws' WWF Tag Team Titles. Road Warrior Hawk is scheduled to face fellow Legion of Doom member Droz.... but it appears that Hawk's personal demons have resurfaced. And on a related note, Steven Regal (who appears to be legitimately intoxicated) debuts his "Real Man's Man" gimmick on "Raw" against a mystery opponent. Plus, Kane goes on a rampage, a steel cage is mysteriously hanging over the ring, and Terri Runnels has a very special announcement!

Meanwhile on NBC, the nation's top television network airs a primetime special that reveals the quote-unquote "secrets" of pro wrestling, including one type of elderly fan that you may not expect...

Episode 46: Vince McMahon Terrorizes The Entire Roster!

November 9th, 1998: Last week, Vince McMahon stripped The Rock of his #1 contendership and removed him from the WWF Title Tournament at this Sunday's "Survivor Series" pay-per-view. This week, the chairman is allowing The Rock to earn his way back into the tourney if he can defeat Mark Henry..... but if he loses, "The People's Champion" is fired from the company! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin calls out The Big Boss Man, who also has his sights set on Shane McMahon. The Undertaker steps into the ring with X-Pac, but the highlight is a post-match encounter with Kane where "The Big Red Machine" shoots a fireball out of his glove! And speaking of Kane, he looks to cause even more fire-related mayhem later in the night when he goes up against Edge. We get the first ever WWF Hardcore Championship match as Mankind proudly defends his title against his bitter rival Ken Shamrock. Steve Blackman goes one-on-one with Val Venis, and "The Big Valbowski" proceeds to tell us the reason why he could not possibly be the father of Terri Runnels' child. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James, D'Lo Brown, and Headbanger Mosh do battle in a surprisingly entertaining triple threat match with the aforementioned Shane McMahon acting as the referee. Goldust takes on Jeff Jarrett while the mischievous Debra McMichael seeks to make her presence felt. Al Snow is scheduled to face Tiger Ali Singh, but the Indian aristocrat volunteers a replacement for himself. Plus, Vince McMahon appears to be grooming Mankind to become his corporate champion, The Blue Blazer continues to interfere in other peoples' affairs, and we get a titillating montage of Sable working out!

Meanwhile in the political arena, a former wrestler/commentator shocks the world and becomes the governor of Minnesota!

Episode 47: The Rock Must Fight For His Job!

November 30th, 1998: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin wants payback on The Undertaker for his actions over the past few weeks, and he enlists an unlikely ally to help him do it. Unfortunately for Paul Bearer, this results in him being thrown into a very undesirable location. Chyna agrees to go on a date with Mark Henry in order to get him to drop his sexual harassment lawsuit against her, but is "The Ninth Wonder of the World" actually warming up to Mark's advances? In a non-title match, WWF Champion The Rock goes one-on-one with Al Snow because he only steps into the ring with the best of the best. Mankind is forced to defend his coveted Hardcore Title against The Big Boss Man in what is only the sixth ever Ladder Match in WWF history. After last week's swerve, X-Pac calls out new WWF Commissioner Shawn Michaels, which results in HBK forcing him to defend his European Title tonight against Ken Shamrock. Gangrel & Edge team up to take on Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws, who are still being recruited to join The Corporation. Goldust steps into the ring with Jeff Jarrett as the "retired" Owen Hart looks on from ringside. A disgruntled Marc Mero puts his career on the line against -- of all people -- Duane Gill, but the Light Heavyweight Champion has some back-up in the form of a debuting weirdo from ECW. Val Venis takes on Tiger Ali Singh in a match which ends up being horrendously overbooked despite the fact that it only lasts for about three minutes. Shane McMahon forces WWF Women's Champion Sable to return to her roots and model WWF merchandise, and this particular product is rather unusual.

Plus, a popular wrestler makes a surprise return, The Blue Blazer unmasks himself, and a 22-year-old Stephanie McMahon makes a random appearance backstage!

Meanwhile over in WCW, Hulk Hogan retires from wrestling just a month before "Starrcade" in order to run for President of the United States.

Episode 50: Mark Henry & Chyna Go On A Date!

January 4th, 1999: This may be the most pivotal night in the history of The Monday Night Wars, so we needed to bring in William Renken from The New Blood Rising Podcast to help make sense of it all!

We cover both "Raw" and "Nitro" in this mega-episode, so get ready for the definitive breakdown of this monumental night of professional wrestling!

"Monday Night Raw":
Vince McMahon refuses Mankind's request to be the #1 contender for The Rock's WWF Title at the "Royal Rumble," but he does allow him to compete for a spot in the Rumble match itself.
There's just one catch -- Mankind must face Triple-H in a match where the special guest referee is the man who Mick Foley beat up a few weeks ago: Shane McMahon.
It would appear the deck is stacked against Mankind...... until he reveals that he may have some tricks up his sleeve before the night is over.
Having been fired from his commissioner position last week, Shawn Michaels sticks it to Mr. McMahon by promising to provide him with a "Stone Cold surprise" before the night is over.
Meanwhile, D-Generation-X welcomes Shawn back into the group..... but is DX really willing to forgive HBK's past transgressions?
Edge and D'Lo Brown have a very solid match until it comes to a screeching halt when the pregnant Terri Runnels suffers a devastating personal tragedy.
Goldust goes one-on-one with Mark Henry, who is frequently distracted by Chyna and her friend Sammy.
"The Road Dogg" Jesse James defends his Hardcore Title against Al Snow in a match where both men end up brawling outdoors while it's snowing!
WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock faces Steve Blackman in a non-title match.
Kane is ordered to compete in a Handicap Match against two very reluctant participants.
The Godfather steps into the ring with Test in what is actually "The Corporate Enforcer's" first ever singles match on "Raw."
Plus, Dan "The Beast" Severn sets his sights on a familiar rival and Dennis Knight is shackled in a dungeon somewhere!

"WCW Monday Nitro":
Kevin Nash is scheduled to defend his WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Goldberg in a rematch from "Starrcade," but that match may be put in doubt when Goldberg is arrested under susupicious circumstances.
Fortunately, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan is in the building tonight so he may be able to fill in if Goldberg is unable to compete.
Ric Flair will be in charge of WCW for the next 90 days, and he proceeds to shake things up right away with his "State of the Sport Address."
WCW Television Champion Scott Steiner defends his title against Konnan in a bout you probably not bother to watch.
Chris Jericho goes up against Perry Saturn in a match which has one of the most confusing finishes you're ever likely to see.
WCW Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman teams up with Rey Mysterio to face LWO members Juventud Guerrera & Psychosis in what is easily the best part of the show.
We get the dream match we never knew we wanted: Benoit vs. Hogan! (well okay, Chris Benoit is actually facing HORACE Hogan)
Bryan Clark steps into the ring with the massively popular Diamond Dallas Page.
Chavo Guerrero and Norman Smiley go head-to-head, with the highlight being Norman's incredibly inappropriate dance called "The Big Wiggle."
Wrath issues an open challenge, which ends up being accepted by a former "WrestleMania" main eventer.
Booker T quickly squashes Emory Hale because that is the only appropriate outcome for such a match.
Glacier squares off with Hugh Morrus in a battle of two depressing gimmicks.
Plus, a 12-year-old Charlotte Flair makes her first on-camera appearance, Eddie Guerrero suffers a horrendous real-life injury, and Tony Schiavone delivers a line that will unfortunately come to define his entire career!

Episode 55: "Raw" vs. "Nitro" Mega-Episode! (w/William Renken from The New Blood Rising Podcast)

January 11th, 1999: In his first promo since winning the WWF Title last week, Mankind duels on the mic with The Rock as the former champ tries to talk Mick Foley into a rematch at the "Royal Rumble." However, Mankind may not even make it that far because Vince McMahon forces him to defend his belt tonight on "Raw" against Kane. And speaking of The McMahons, Shane announces a very special main event for tonight's show: a Corporate Royal Rumble pitting members of The Corporation against members of DX, with the winner being awarded the #30 position in the Royal Rumble match. In what is likely one of the most bizarre segments in the history of the WWF/E, The Undertaker returns after a month-long absence to perform an unholy ritual on Dennis Knight. Triple-H steps into the ring with Edge in a match which we surprisingly only end up getting a handful of times over the next 12 years despite both men's lengthy tenures with the company. As a counterpunch to Tony Schiavone's "butts in seats" line from "Nitro" last week, we get introduced to the legendary character who is simply known as..... Gillberg. The New Age Outlaws face Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart, with the winning team earning the right to become the #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Titles. Val Venis sets his sights on a lovely young woman in the crowd, but he gets more than he bargained for when it turns out that he's attempting to seduce the sister of a fellow wrestler. Because D'Lo Brown was somewhat responsible for causing her miscarriage last week, Terri Runnels forces D'Lo to fight his own best friend: Mark Henry. X-Pac puts his European Title on the line against the newly Head-less Al Snow. Plus, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin continues to wreak havoc, Chyna's friend Sammy is still hanging around, and Shane helps Vince train for the Royal Rumble by having him chase a chicken in the snow!

Meanwhile over on "Nitro," WCW follows up their "Fingerpoke of Doom" episode with three hours of television that are somehow even worse than last week's show!

Shane McMahon forces Kane to publicly apologize until an unlikely ally tells "The Big Red Machine" that he should ditch The Corporation in favor of a different stable.
Val Venis squares off with Test, but not before "The Big Valbowski" introduces us to his newest movie.... starring Ken Shamrock's sister.
"The Road Dogg" & Al Snow team up to face Gangrel & Edge in a Hardcore Tag Team Match which takes place almost entirely backstage.

Episode 58: "Royal Rumble 1999" / "Raw" Mega-Episode! (w/Sal from WrestleMania SalVation)

January 31st / February 1st, 1999: At "Halftime Heat," The Rock defends his WWF Title against Mankind in an Empty Arena Match, but which of these bitter rivals will come out on top this time around? Then we move on to "Raw," where Vince McMahon comes up with a plan: he'll head to Victoria, Texas to provoke "Stone Cold" Steve Austin into hitting him, which would cancel their match at "St. Valentine's Day Massacre." Shane McMahon gets to run the show in Vince's absence, but his ego may once again get the better of him when he calls out his recent rival X-Pac. In our main event, the DX/Corporation feud continues to escalate as Triple-H steps into the ring with Kane.... inside of a steel cage. The Ministry of Darkness have their first match on "Raw" against The Brood, which results in The Undertaker attempting to murder Gangrel by hanging him with a noose. And as if that wasn't enough, The Ministry then proceeds to add some new members to the group later on in the show. The Rock and Mankind have another promo duel to set up their next match, and this face-off is highlighted by the fact that The Rock is legitimately losing his voice while he's speaking. After last week's miscommunication, Val Venis and Billy Gunn go head-to-head in an attempt to settle their differences while WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock looks on from the commentary table. In a Hardcore Tag Team Match, "The Road Dogg" & Al Snow once again team up to face The Acolytes. P.M.S. continues to manipulate D'Lo Brown weeks after he accidentally caused Terri Runnels' miscarriage, and this time they're forcing him to wrestle The Big Boss Man. However, after the match ends, some new information about Terri's pregnancy comes to the forefront. Droz squares off with Kurrgan in what turns out to be the final match on "Raw" featuring a member of The Oddities. Mark Henry once again interrupts an interview with Debra, which proves to be a mistake for "Sexual Chocolate." In one of the more pointless segments in recent memory, The Blue Meanie provides us with an "all-male dance revue" for about ten seconds before Goldust thankfully attacks him.

Plus, the WWF airs their classic commercial during Super Bowl XXXIII, Chyna cuts her first heel promo, we see what Max Mini looks like without his mask, and we find out which WWF employee starred in the 1995 "Mortal Kombat" movie!

For some reason, The Rock has a match with, of all people, Steve Blackman. X-Pac faces a daunting challenge when he is ordered to compete against Corporate Kane. The Ken Shamrock/Val Venis feud continues to escalate, which results in a special guest referee being appointed for their match at "St. Valentine's Day Massacre." Al Snow calls out "The Road Dogg" but, when he doesn't answer the challenge, Al then proceeds to have a Hardcore Match.... against himself. Jeff Jarrett goes one-on-one with D'Lo Brown, who introduces us to a brand new female wrestler. Viscera squares off with The Godfather in what is sure to be a five-star classic. Goldust steps into the ring with Gillberg in a match which has a rather surprising result. Plus, we get the famous visual of Vince yelling in "Stone Cold's" face, Darren Drozdov beats up an announcer, and Earl Hebner suffers the wrath of some unforgiving Canadian fans!

Triple-H & X-Pac face the team of Kane & Shane McMahon in a tag match with a rather interesting stipulation: X-Pac's European Title is on the line.
Val Venis puts his newly-won Intercontinental Title on the line against Billy Gunn, and "The Big Valbowski" has some unfortunate news for Ryan Shamrock after the match concludes.
Kevin Kelly conducts an interview with WWF Women's Champion Sable, who appears to have a bit of a new attitude.
Corporation members The Big Boss Man, Test, and Ken Shamrock face Ministry of Darkness members The Acolytes & Mideon in a six-man tag team match which ends up being overshadowed by The Undertaker's new plot to take over the WWF.
Bob Holly defends his Hardcore Title against Steve Blackman, but then he receives a surprise after the match when a former tag team partner returns after a six-month absence.

Episode 61: "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" / "Raw" Mega-Episode! (w/Adam from NitroMania)

February 22nd, 1999: The Undertaker's torment of Vince McMahon causes the chairman to schedule a very interesting main event: 'Taker vs. Kane in the first ever Inferno Match on "Monday Night Raw!" And speaking of Mr. McMahon, he appears to have some other problems on his hands when Paul Wight challenges fellow Corporation member The Rock to put his WWF Title on the line tonight! In order to receive a European Title rematch against Shane McMahon at "WrestleMania," X-Pac has to earn it the hard way by stepping into the ring with Chyna. Ken Shamrock faces Billy Gunn in a match where the winner becomes the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Title.... even though both men lost Intercontinental Title matches last week. And on a related note, WWF Intercontinental Champion Val Venis goes one-on-one with Goldust in a non-title match, which features some unexpected outside interference. WWF Hardcore Champion Bob Holly is now referring to himself as "Hardcore Holly," and he puts his title on the line against his former tag team partner Bart Gunn. D'Lo Brown calls out the WWF Tag Team Champions Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart, and the result is pretty much exactly what you would expect. Edge & Gangrel step into the ring with a legendary ECW tag team who are finally making their debut in the WWF. Steve Blackman squares off with Darren Drozdov because sometimes you just need to kill three minutes of television time. Plus, Mankind is petitioning to be the special guest referee for the main event of "WrestleMania," and Sable's heel turn continues as she proceeds to confront her stalker and Luna Vachon.

March 1st, 1999: Vince McMahon wants to fire Kane for not winning the Inferno Match last week, but Chyna steps in with a proposition: allow Kane to keep his job if he can defeat "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the main event. And speaking of Mr. McMahon, he also books another marquee match-up for tonight's show: The Undertaker vs. Mankind. Jim Ross returns to the WWF three months after suffering a second bout of Bell's palsy...... so obviously, they turn him heel. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James also makes his return to the company, and his first match back is for the WWF Title against The Rock! Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line against the formidable team of Triple-H & X-Pac. Val Venis defends his Intercontinental Title in a Triple Threat Match against Ken Shamrock and Goldust. Luna Vachon and Tori confront Sable about her new attitude, with somewhat surprising results. Public Enemy impersonate The Brood, and then they proceed to get more than they bargained for when a bloody scene ensues backstage. Debra challenges Ivory to a match despite the fact that she is in no way a competent wrestler. Darren Drozdov steps into Steve Blackman's realm for the first ever Kendo Stick Match. Plus, Paul Wight continues to make his presence felt, Billy Gunn gets removed from a match because he has asthma (seriously), and we get a pre-taped vignette where we are introduced to some of Shane McMahon's childhood friends from Greenwich, Connecticut!

Episode 63: The Return of Jim Ross!

March 8th, 1999: Vince McMahon will allow Mankind to be the special guest referee at "WrestleMania 15" on one condition: he must face "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in a match where Paul Wight is the special guest referee. And speaking of Paul Wight, there is a bit of dissension within The Corporation as The Rock now believes that "The Big Nasty" can not be trusted. And in other Corporation news, The Undertaker and The Ministry of Darkness have made it their mission to sacrifice The Big Boss Man tonight on "Raw." The New Age Outlaws reunite for "one night only" to take on the dysfunctional team of Hardcore Holly & Al Snow. X-Pac squares off with Test as The Corporation continues to be a thorn in DX's side. D'Lo Brown and Owen Hart step into the ring for a Steel City Street Fight, where both men are obviously required to wear blue jeans. Ken Shamrock goes one-on-one with Goldust, who is accompanied by Ken's sister Ryan and a jealous Blue Meanie. The Godfather and Steve Blackman are scheduled to have a match, but "The Lethal Weapon" may not be able to refuse The Godfather's tempting offer. Tori has her first ever WWF match against Luna Vachon, although Sable ends up hogging the spotlight by calling attention to her new issue of Playboy. Jim Ross continues to wreak havoc by mocking Terry Taylor for being The Red Rooster and (hilariously) kicking Michael Cole directly in the balls.

Plus, we take a detour over to "Sunday Night Heat" where an infamous match occurs and we get the debut of a certain Olympic hero!

Meanwhile over on "Nitro," head booker Kevin Nash comes up with a unique idea for the first hour of the show: no wrestling whatsoever!

Episode 64: Kurt Angle's First Appearance!

March 22nd, 1999: It's the go-home episode of "Monday Night Raw" before "WrestleMania 15," and it's quite the eventful show! "Stone Cold" Steve Austin must face "The Big Show" Paul Wight in tonight's main event, while The Rock and Mankind will go head-to-head in order to determine who gets to be the special guest referee for the match. But before all of that goes down, "Stone Cold" has a surprise for The Rock, Vince, and Shane: a truck full of beer with a fire-hose attached to it! Kane is scheduled to face Goldust, but a shocking turn of events leads to "The Big Red Machine" being burned once again. WWF Intercontinental Champion "The Road Dogg" faces WWF Hardcore Champion Billy Gunn in a match where the winning Outlaw receives both titles. In six-man tag team action, The Undertaker & The Acolytes face The Big Boss Man, Ken Shamrock, and Test. Not wanting to wait for "WrestleMania," Shane McMahon challenges X-Pac to a Greenwich Street Fight in the parking lot of the arena. Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Brood members Gangrel & Edge, resulting in a bloodbath for someone at ringside. WWF Women's Champion Sable squares off with Ivory in a non-title bout, but P.M.S.'s antics outside the ring completely overshadow the match. Apparently jealous of the attention that Goldust has been giving to Ryan Shamrock, The Blue Meanie calls out Ryan for an in-ring confrontation.

Plus, Jim Ross parties at a frat house, The Stooges get attacked by a legendary tag team, and we strangely see black-and-white footage of a 1950's household with the word "Cleavage" on the mailbox!

X-Pac calls out Triple-H 24 hours after Hunter shockingly turned his back on his D-Generation-X brethren.
The Rock goes one-on-one with "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn in a very enjoyable five-minute match.
Ken Shamrock steps into the ring with Gangrel, with Shamrock's main purpose being to extract information about Stephanie McMahon's whereabouts.
"The Road Dogg" Jesse James once again puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against Goldust.
Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against The Legion of Doom in what turns out to be L.O.D.'s final match on "Raw" in The Attitude Era.
"The Big Show" Paul Wight vows to make life miserable for The Corporation, and he kicks off that pledge by squashing Test.
Hardcore Holly defends his newly-won Hardcore Title against "Dr. Death" Steve Williams in what is "Dr. Death's" first and ONLY match ever on "Raw."
Sable & Jacqueline team up to face Tori & Ivory, with a very surprising post-match result.

Meanwhile, Shane's frequent taunting of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin causes "The Rattlesnake" to vow that he will cost The McMahon Family a whole lot of money tonight! Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line against the unlikely team of X-Pac & Kane. Hometown boy Mankind faces Val Venis while the commentators proceed to ignore the match entirely so they can whine about unfair media coverage. The reunited New Age Outlaws step into the ring with Brood members Gangrel & Edge, and somehow the guy who takes the pinfall isn't even part of the match! Ken Shamrock squares off with Viscera, but The Ministry of Darkness has revenge on their minds after Shamrock rescued Stephanie McMahon from their clutches on last week's "Raw." Goldust defends his newly-won WWF Intercontinental Title against The Godfather. WWF Hardcore Champion Hardcore Holly goes one-on-one with Al Snow in a match which is somehow not for the title and not even a Hardcore Match.

Plus, Christian is punished by The Ministry for his actions last week, The Big Show has a new theme song, and Terri Runnels gets her top ripped off!

Meanwhile over on The TNT Network, Chris Jericho wrestles his final match on "Nitro," and WCW attempts to revamp its image by introducing a brand new intro video, stage, and logo!

Episode 68: The Undertaker Sacrifices a Surprising Victim & The TitanTron Gets Destroyed!

April 19th, 1999: After throwing "Stone Cold" Steve Austin off a bridge last week, The Rock is preparing to hold a funeral for "The Rattlesnake." However, those plans may be interrupted when "Stone Cold" shows up to the arena driving his own custom monster truck! Michael Cole conducts an interview with Vince and Stephanie McMahon at WWF Studios..... until an unwelcome guest shows up. To show how deep the current roster is, Triple-H faces Mankind in the middle of the show with no build-up whatsoever. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James goes one-on-one with Owen Hart, but the most memorable part is a pre-match promo where "Road Dogg" coins a new term for Debra's anatomy. Later on, the other halves of those tag teams also square off, with "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn going head-to-head with Jeff Jarrett. Ken Shamrock faces The Big Boss Man in a No Holds Barred Match..... which somehow takes place entirely inside of the ring. The Big Show goes up against Viscera in a match where the ring has hopefully been reinforced. After leaving The Ministry of Darkness last week, The Brood face off with The Undertaker's henchmen The Acolytes. In a clash of two champions, The Godfather puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against WWF Hardcore Champion Hardcore Holly.

Plus, The Undertaker beats up members of his own faction, Val Venis finally meets Sable, and Mankind and The Big Show are somehow best friends despite the fact that they're supposed to be fighting each other in six days!

Because The Rock was unsuccessful at regaining the WWF Championship last night, Shane McMahon proceeds to fire him from The Corporation... so Rock challenges him to a match tonight!
The dysfunctional team of X-Pac & Kane defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Gangrel & Edge, but a post-match bloodbath throws things into further disarray.
Mankind & The Big Show team up to face Corporation members The Big Boss Man & Test.
A frustrated Billy Gunn claims that he will defeat Triple-H tonight because fellow DX member X-Pac couldn't get the job done last night.
WWF Intercontinental Champion The Godfather puts his belt on the line against Jeff Jarrett, with an interesting stipulation: if Jarrett loses, Debra must become one of Godfather's hoes.
Ken Shamrock is scheduled to face Bradshaw, but Faarooq sees to it that the match never even gets under way.
D'Lo Brown steps into the ring with Val Venis, and it appears that Nicole Bass is still after "The Big Valbowski."
Plus, we get introduced to two brand new terrible gimmicks: Beaver Cleavage and Meat!

And as for Triple-H, he gets matched up with "Stone Cold" in tonight's main event. The Godfather & Val Venis square off with Jeff Jarrett and (in his final televised match) The Blue Blazer. In six-man tag team action, "The Road Dogg" Jesse James teams up with the WWF Tag Team Champions X-Pac & Kane to face Billy Gunn, Mark Henry, and D'Lo Brown. And in yet another six-man tag match, The Brood face off with Michael P.S. Hayes and The Hardy Boyz (who are finally making their debut on "Raw" in The Attitude Era!). Union member The Big Show goes up against Corporate Ministry member The Big Boss Man, with the result being about what you would expect. And speaking of The Union, Test steps into the ring with, of all people, Meat. Plus, Al Snow pays tribute to his friend Pierre, PMS has a new member, and we're somehow still doing these Beaver Cleavage vignettes.

The time has finally come for the revelation of The Higher Power -- who could it be?! Well, unfortunately for The Higher Power, he immediately gets upstaged by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin... who gets appointed as the new CEO of the company! The Rock and Triple-H go head-to-head in the first-ever Cast Match, where Rock is wearing a cast on his arm and Hunter must wear one on his leg. The Union is given a blank check to face whomever they want: Big Show wisely chooses a title match, Ken Shamrock wants a Lion's Den Match with an unlikely opponent, and Test gives a rather surprising answer. Shane McMahon is ordered to face X-Pac & Kane in a Handicap Match, but some old friends of "The Boy Wonder" apparently still have his back. Billy Gunn (who is apparently just going by "Mr. Ass" now) squares off with The Godfather, who is accompanied by a very scantily-clad Ho Train. The Acolytes defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Brood members Edge & Gangrel while The Hardy Boyz and Michael P.S. Hayes look on from ringside. Al Snow puts his WWF Hardcore Title on the line against Droz in a match where both men amusingly make their way into the nearby sports bar. WWF Women's Champion Debra faces Nicole Bass in a Bikini Contest because, ya know, Attitude Era.

Plus, GTV invades PMS's locker room, and we make our pitches for who The Higher Power should have been!

Meanwhile over on "Nitro," WCW begins a mystery storyline of their own when someone driving a white Hummer attempts to murder Kevin Nash!

June 14th, 1999: After being appointed as the CEO of the company last week, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin heads to WWF Headquarters and institutes some very interesting changes. Meanwhile back in the arena, Vince and Shane McMahon contemplate what the stipulation for their "King of the Ring" match should be, so they make several stipulation matches tonight on "Raw." The Rock challenges The Undertaker to a title match at "King of the Ring," but he will first have to beat 'Taker in a non-title match tonight.... and possibly someone else as well. Pat Patterson & Gerald Brisco disagree with Vince's authoritarian tactics, so the chairman forces them to compete in a match against Mideon & Viscera. Because he took Stephanie McMahon out on a date last week, Test is ordered to face The Big Boss Man in a Blind Date Match, where Test must wear a blindfold. WWF Tag Team Champions The Acolytes defend their titles in a Handicap Match against Kane (yes, you read that correctly). "The Road Dogg" Jesse James squares off with his former tag team partner "Mr. Ass" in a Dogg Pound Match where both men are joined at the neck by a dog collar. In a non-title match, WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett faces Ken Shamrock in a Straitjacket Match where only Shamrock has to wrestle in a straitjacket. X-Pac is scheduled to face The Big Show in a David vs. Goliath Match, but the big man seemingly wants no part of it. Episode 78: CEO "Stone Cold" Heads To The Boardroom!

June 21st, 1999: New CEO "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The McMahons are at odds with each other, so someone needs to step in to restore order.... and thankfully, Commissioner Shawn Michaels is in town. HBK books "Stone Cold" vs. The Big Boss Man and, if Austin wins, there will be no Corporate Ministry interference allowed in the Ladder Match at "King of the Ring." Regarding Vince & Shane, they'll get a tune-up match tonight against their former stooges Pat Patterson & Gerald Brisco. And as for The Corporate Ministry, Commissioner Michaels attempts to make sure that the top two members of that faction will remain at odds with each other when he orders WWF Champion The Undertaker to defend his title tonight against Triple-H! In a dream match you never knew you wanted, The Rock steps into the ring with Edge. Jeff Jarrett is ordered to defend his WWF Intercontinental Title against Ken Shamrock and Test in a Triple Threat Match. WWF Tag Team Champions The Acolytes team up with "Mr. Ass" to face "The Road Dogg," X-Pac, and Kane in a six-man tag team match where the tag titles are somehow on the line. The Big Show faces Hardcore Holly in a Hardcore Match which ends with the big man attempting to crush Holly with a car! Val Venis is scheduled to face Prince Albert, but the match takes an interesting turn before it can even begin. Mark Henry and Viscera square off in a Body Slam Challenge, which is unfortunately referred to as a "Gorilla Slam Match." GTV continues to catch people in embarrassing situations backstage, and this week it's Al Snow's turn.

Plus, we get the return of someone who hasn't been on "Raw" in three months, Beaver Cleavage can no longer take it anymore, and is it really true that a member of The Mean Street Posse pinned "Stone Cold"?!

Meanwhile over on "Nitro," Master P yells the phrase "hootie hoo" 1,000 times!

We get The Rock vs. Triple-H on free television.... for a few minutes anyway.
And speaking of Triple-H, he comes up with a plan to enlist an old friend in order to take back all of that sweet DX royalty money.
Your new King of the Ring "Mr. Ass" faces Acolyte Bradshaw in a match where Bradshaw's Tag Team Title belt is somehow at stake.
Jeff Jarrett puts his Intercontinental Title on the line against X-Pac.
The rivalry between Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman continues to escalate as they face each other in a Weapons Match.
Hardcore Holly calls out Kane, and the result is quite unexpected.
The Godfather steps into the ring with Edge while an interested Droz & Prince Albert look on from ringside.
One week after dropping his Beaver Cleavage character, Chaz goes up against Meat in a match where The WWF is practically daring you to switch over to "Nitro."
Plus, Ivory invites a fan to come into the ring and GTV catches Test and Stephanie McMahon leaving a hotel together!
