Wonderful. This is a Zen koan. An example of Zen mastery. Why? (noting that those who purport to explain what Zen is, almost invariably expose their own failure to understand). Because this rich and complex tapestry (complexity) is allegedly caused to arise from it's opposite (the 'simplicity' paradoxically alleged in the title). Musically and conceptually beautiful

Two Questions.

Don Pedro and his wife Victoria were unlike most couples. Don Pedro was the 'Cocaine Kingpin' of Miami for much of the 90's, but had found a way to pull away from the trade and most of his money was now moving around and growing in shady real-estate dealings. He did this of course for his wife Victoria, who he loved very much. You see when he met Victoria, she was a waitress in her early twenties, rife with college debt, and desperate for a change. Unbeknownst to Don Pedro, she was also extremely cunning. She had played the happy housewife of a Narco-kingpin for many years, and she played it well. The tears in court, the fierce loyalty, and the unquestioning belief of his every intention. All according to her plan. 

On this particular night - the two cruised down Ocean Boulevard in Miami - the neon lights flashing across their faces through the windshield of the dark green Bugatti. It was the last Sunday of the month, and on the last Sunday of the month Victoria always got her pick of the evenings festivity. They were typically things Don Pedro didn't care for; the opera, a new sushi joint, a movie. But time and time again, he would give her this night as a reward for playing her role in his life. 

Tonight, they cruised toward a small Spanish restaurant that had just opened up. The event was very exclusive to only a few Platinum Dining Club members. The Miami Platinum Dining Club was a highly exclusive dining club whose membership required both money and reputation. Tonight, there would be a 6 course exclusive menu, paired with drinks - all to be enjoyed during a life performance by an artist known as Ghost Actual. 

"Honey, what kind of music is this, Ghost Actual?"

Victoria was currently adjusting her red lipstick in the mirror - although she already looked flawless.

"oh you're not going to start complaining already are you my love?"

"No - not yet..."

"Well I don't know - its a little hip place - so...I assume something hip? I don't know how to answer that dear...lets just see"

"I hate hipsters"

"honey your suit is mute-yellow and you are wearing white wingtips - your are flirting with being a hipster yourself"

He shook the thought off in disgust

"Where will the guards sit?" Don Pedro asked his wife - eyes still fixated on the road. 

Good question, she thought to herself.

"At the bar I suppose"

"Okay"

They pulled into the parking lot of the small club - known as Coco Mango. As they entered, Don was very impressed. The staff was extremely prompt with the jackets. The places was a dark neon green and there were palm trees located through out the inside, with pink neon lights at their base. 

"Good choice "

"Thanks"

They were seated at the very front of a small stage. There were no more than 10-15 other patrons, and they all seemed to be couples who sat and drank quietly.  Don's guards were in the lobby entrance, separate from this place and were drinking currently. 

"it is very quiet in here Vicky, no?" said Don Pedro

"mhh, i hadn't noticed" said Victoria drinking her frothy cucumber-mango margarita 

Just then, a charismatic voice cut through the silence.  A very short man stepped into the pink light of the stage. "Ladies and Gentleman - We here at Coco Mango are both honored and thrilled to have you join us on this most exclusive of nights-"

Don Pedro turned and smiled to Victoria, pleased and impressed by the showmanship and spectacle. She smiled and raised her eyebrows in acknowledgment.

"- tonight...you will experience flavors and feelings that will be new and exotic to your senses...and while you do this! You will be graced with the music - of none other - than GHOST ACTUAL!...He will be opening up with his newest ethereal masterpiece, TWO QUESTIONS!.... 

so sit back, and enjoy the ride"

Don looked confused and almost amused. He leaned over to Victoria...

"What the fuck is going on?"

Most of this piece was recorded in 2016 but I abandoned it until I decided to clean my computer files up recently. I added the vocals and a few horn samples to "finish" it off.
