On November 12th, 106.1 The Breeze signed on was "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul, replacing Real 106.1 which were Rhythmic AC formatted prior the rebrand.

The launch of 106.1 The Breeze marks the return of Soft AC in the Philly market after WSNI (Sunny 104.5) dropped the format in 2006. The station was also Philly's home for Delilah, a staple for most AC stations in the US.

The station was competing with Audacy's B101.1 (WBEB) which had a generous rating at 4.8 vs WISX's 3.3 on the Nielsen ratings chart.

Recently, WISX were not doing well with the Soft AC format, which led iHeart to abandon the format after it had failed to compete with B101.1.

On March 8, 2022, The Breeze ended with the last song,  "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" by Billy Joel. And after that, the station started simulcasting WIOQ, Philly's Q102 for a couple of days.

On March 11th, after the simulcast ended, following a marathon of Bad Bunny songs, the station changed its format to Spanish CHR as Rumba 106.1.

After almost 4 years on the air, 106.1 The Breeze (WISX, Philadelphia) flipped its switch from Soft AC to Spanish CHR-formatted Rumba 106.1 on March 11th at noon, local time.

To bid salute for the former Soft AC station, TQ105 are proud to bring you the full set of custom jingles made for 106.1 The Breeze by Reelworld which debuted in the Fall of 2020. The preview heard here consists of 8 main themes, 2-morning show IDs, a top-of-hour ID, a holiday theme ID, as well as beds for news, weather and traffic.

This package is very popular among many AC stations worldwide, including Astro's Lite FM in Malaysia and Absolut Relax in Germany.

These are all ramp cuts as heard here, however shorter basic IDs, shotguns and rapid-fire IDs can be heard at reelworld.com under the AC category.
