Henry Hill was born into a family of music lovers and artists in 1977 and whilst growing up was exposed to various forms of music and had access to a vast vinyl collection owned by his father.
From the age of 14/15 he began to take an interest in his brothers dj’ing (a regular dj on the early 90’s ‘Madchester’ rave scene, after developing a passion for the early acid house rave scene he started to learn to mix on his brothers technics and using his vinyl (much to his brothers dismay as a few classic vinyls would go missing).
The early favorites being Renegade Soundwave, Underground Resistance and A guy called Gerald.
when old enough he immersed himself in the culture and attended various festivals, parties and clubs which helped to bring a varied, expansive style and taste to his sets and not just sticking to the 4 to the floor rhythm!
Over the years the style and genre’s of music have changed but not the passion.
Switching from Drum and bass to breakbeat, acid house to minimal, techno to hip-hop.
With this wide range and passion for all different kinds of music there is always one outcome, big bass lines, powerful rhythms and the ability to get a dance floor moving!
After being involved in the scene for over 20 years the passion has never dipped.
A love of all things underground and music that is far from commercial, expect to hear music played by only a few dj’s that fits into the ‘those who know’ bracket!
Although there are far too many artists past and present that have influenced Henry Hill below are a few.
Renegade Soundwave, A guy called gerald, Underground Resistance, Extrawelt, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Sven Vath, Jay Lumen, Dosem, Coyu, Pan Pot, Booka Shade, UMEK, James Holden, Nathan Fake, Border Community record label and the Detroit and Berlin techno scene and many many more.
