October of last year saw the much anticipated release of the mighty VERSUS project from John Digweed & Nick Muir. The three CD album was a huge undertaking and as part of the package the Bedrock duo teamed up with a number of artists to create twelve exclusive new tracks. All label regulars, the likes of Pig&Dan, Carlo Lio, Henry Saiz and Marco Bailey joined the John and Nick in creating yet more iconic tracks for the label. The originals have lit up dance floors world wide since their release.

Having already brought you the excellent Extended Play rework of Morphism, we return with our next unique version. Taking on the beautiful and beatless Gigawave is Canadian artist Fairmont who gives the breathtaking original a new club-friendly face. His warm, subtle and yet persuasive bassline provides the perfect bed as he transforms the originals ambient textures, delivering an uplifting dancefloor revision.

The incredible Henry Saiz makes a welcome return to the label with a spectacular double header.

Just the mere mention of his name sends dance music fans into raptures. Henry Saiz is at the pinnacle of the scene; signed to everyone worth a damn, soundtracking festivals, clubs and beyond across the globe. Behind the scenes, as a radio presenter, director and label head at Natura Sonoris, he's hard at work: a real musical hero with a humble manner and Latin ease that fans are drawn to in their droves.

Opening with 'Redes', muted beats develop into multi-textured flavours that reveal Henry's kaleidoscopic sound to perfection. Finding that balance between melodics and percussion, 'Redes' tells a story through sound as only he can. Delicate and detailed, you'll be hitting that repeat button every time.

'The Quest' begins slowly, entering the dance tentatively. Building in confidence, the beats hit with added weight as new melodies and percussive layers draw you in. Developing throughout, this is another example of a world-class artist at the height of his powers having the most fun you can have with your clothes on! Just sensational.

here is a download gift / sneak tease for the fans, to show the kind of quality I'm extracting from my old cassettes using mega high quality cassette decks.
Because I've added vari-speed, I get to choose what speed I encode them at, I've done a few different versions of all my fave ones and it's usually just what I think sounds good at the time or just different to what I'm used to.
This one is from a That's cassette labelled copy III , i used a lot of the VX90 tapes in that period of my life.
It is the 12th track on side a.
Even though I used to write COPY *.number, they were actually the original masters.
Think was one of the first tracks that had a small section with intentional microtuning, [harmonic series sec]
Encoded with Nakamichi CR7e cassette deck.

+added, it cuts out at the end coz the tape ran out :)
I remember sometimes recording tracks to cassettes, I'd be looking at the cassette nearing the end and try and finish the track before the tape ran out :)
