DoctorSoul is one of the hottest Parisian Disco & Soul producers, who releases his music a.o. on Yam Who?’s überhip Disco Label MIDNIGHT RIOT RECORDS from London. His releases often reach the Disco DownLoad Charts, he just reached No 1 in the Traxsource charts with “Secret Friend”. He has his own unique production style, which is always on the dubby side if things, but still very poppy and true to the original. A difficult balance, that he masters like not many others.  One of the reasons for this special sound might be the fact that he was born and raised in West Africa. On the musical production side, DoctorSoul has collaborated with many artists/ bands from diverse genres (Funk/ Disco/ Boogie/ Rock/ Rap and even in Jazz) in bringing production remixes for the likes of legendary Brazilian pianist virtuoso TANIA MARIA, singer JEFF CASCARO, or Soul/ Westcoast music band MANDOO, and Disco/Funk veteran act INTERVIEW (among others...).

Side AA: Voice Of Nature (Reworked by Henry Greenwood)

Cutting his teeth on the UK bar DJ circuit with gigs six nights a week, as well as being a member of production duo Casio Social Club, Henry Greenwood has nurtured an understanding of the vital ingredients required for a killer dance floor groove. From the early days of breaking both the pause buttons on his family stereo system (whilst crafting his first reworks) to spinning alongside Derrick Carter at London's disco-flavoured club night Slide, Henry is carving a razor-sharp niche in the ever-evolving re-edits movement.

Here, Henry has revisited George Benson's 1977 single, 'Nature Boy', originally a Nat King Cole
classic from 1948. It was a radio edit heard whilst driving that initially caught his attention, and, after hunting down the original cut, he looped up a prominent 8-bar section to forge an instrumental deep house burner. After some direction from Greg Wilson, and encouragement to reincorporate more of the vocal, his 'Voice of Nature' version was born, an early doors gem that has been a staple in Wilson's sets during recent times.
