Twin System present “Victim Of The System”, a 28-track compilation with all profits donated to Brixton Soup Kitchen. Functional heaters alongside malfunctioning oddities for a good cause.

Brixton Soup Kitchen offers support to the homeless and in need, and relies heavily on donations to sustain their work. They provide invaluable relief to a community hugely impacted by the virus, as well as a homeless population forced back onto the streets since the temporary housing provided came to an end. As normality resumes, the chance of another wave of cases and another inadequate response from our government grows. This along with the huge number of people already suffering from the economic impact of the virus means organisations like B.S.K. are now more important than ever.

ACEN019 sees Bristol producer MISH provide his debut release following appearances on the cities Noods and TenTwenty radio stations.

Title track ‘Berserker’ begins ominously with crisp folly snaps that give way to a bobbing beat that is further thrown with punchy kicks. As the track continues it segways between sparse pauses and sub heavy moments ready to grapple with the dancefloor. 

On Ocean XP the feeling is switched up, with profuse chords and melodic flashes jetting between one another, setting the stage for an autonomic jaunt that’s motoric drive feels at odds with the title track’s springy mobility.

Final track ‘Rattlesnake’ hinges around a skittering broken beat that constantly mutates as pointed percussion weaves in and out of focus. As the track powers forward a sharp acidic melody splashes across MiSH’s carefully arranged canvas of drums as his signature manipulated FX take us towards a remote listening space.

Berserker is available across all platforms from the 31st of July.

MISH - Rattlesnake

Ma Sha Ru is a relatively new project from Ma Sha and Rú who spilt their time between Berlin and New York and have become known for their trippy, percussive driven productions. As a duo, they've released on local New York imprint Sorry Records and Kindergarten Records, the label, radio show and party series founded by Ma Sha. A very DIY approach to everything they do, Kindergarten started as a backyard party supported by friends and went on to host events at clubs such as H0I0 and Elsewhere. Community is very important to Ma Sha Ru and completely intertwined with the Kindergarten Records which meant it was only natural for the label platform to exist. Now on its fourth release, the label has housed records from exciting artists such as Drummy, Despina, Train To Eltanin, and Ma Sha Ru themselves. The latest compilation featuring all of the label staples is a brilliant showcase of where the platform is heading and its sound. Alongside their contribution to their mix series, we get The Lowdown on the story behind Kindergarten Records and their journey so far.

We chose to work closely with friends and family, artists that have an affiliation with AM, each expressing themselves in their freest forms from broken-techno, glitchy breakbeats and mutant dancehall, to IDM & electro.

SYN12 presents the newest EP in their various artist compilation series, the orange cassette exclusively available on Bandcamp, Friday December 4th.

Following the success of the Yorkshire imprints first tape in June, the label brings together a sonic showcase from across the UK with 6 diverse tracks.

This eclectic EP delivers production finesse with a range of electronic influences. From high-octane shellers designed for maximum impact at the club to the deeper and more intelligent cuts. The EP draws from all corners of the club landscape to bring you ear-gracing instrumentation for lockdown escapism.

Club Night Club is proud to announce its first release via Manchester based Herron, who delivers four diverse excursions aimed squarely at the dancefloor. 

On the A1, Dead Frogs Down, ethereal vocals are submerged and held captive by the molten, stumbling textures which give them form, they rise out of the chaos every now and then, breathing life into a soundscape of club ready punches and kicks. The result is a punishing five minutes of peak time breaks with a delicate undertone floating in between. 

Velcro Spider, true to its name, weaves a similar blend of the synthetic and heartfelt. A stumbling, low slung groove mutates over the course of the track, quietly building and sustaining a tension the listener is unaware of until all hell breaks loose in true drug chug fashion at the halfway point. 

The B side similarly advances this fusion of midtempo tension.  

Noroveerno is a head bobber, the double time kicks coming like a heartbeat. There is a sense of purpose to the unrestrained impacts that pump and push the sound design heavy, Sludge-Techno forwards. A simple, distorted vocal sample: “Do I Want?” is peppered amongst the chaos, presenting as a rhythmic element which contributes to the track’s flow rather than diverging from it. The inflection gives the impression that this is a question to which the artist already knows his answer. 

Closing things out on the B side is IWillTry2d0, a dystopian piece that has a tensible core of thick and hearty synth pulses. Evocative of the Toulouse Low Trax breed of intentional, ambiguous chug, but in keeping with the rest of the record smothered in impact and delay. Like the others, it has a percussive outer shell which protects something emotional and questioning at its root.
