Pencil Full Of Lead (The Mike Brown Band)

Formed in 2016 by arranger and band leader Mike Brown, Hep to the Jive are a unique UK based Jazz group, who incorporate traditional orchestration and arranging techniques with modern technology, to produce a huge sound from a compact line up.
They are one of the few bands in the country who offer live, ‘strict tempo’ performances, for ballroom, latin and sequence dancing. In the last few years, Hep to the jive have performed in most of the popular ballrooms in England, including the Tower ballroom and the Winter gardens in Blackpool.
In addition, Hep to the Jive also specialize in producing authentic ‘big band’ sounds for wartime, vintage and swing events. With music made famous by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Vera Lynn, and Michael Buble, among their vast repertoire.
Hep to the jive are currently one of the busiest Swing and Strict tempo dance bands available - professional, affordable and unique!
