Short version: Someone asked for help on music forum gearspace. They used vintage analog synths (instead of synth plugins) but had trouble to make them sound good in their music mix.
Someone answered with an obvious diagnosis: "You are not used to the sound of real analog. You digitized your brain and fried it with too many algorithms. You have plugin ears."

The complete answer was so over the top and hilarious that it spread across the scene and YouTuber Oscillator Sink kindly offered his voice to read the text and provide the sample for everyone to enjoy. This sample is what I used in this track.
