This box-set serves as proof of that achievement: Dozens of producers, DJs, label owners and companions sent us their thoughts, dedications and quotes.

In fact, Compost is known worldwide for being the pioneer of the future jazz genre. The very successful and highly acclaimed compilation-series like "Future Sounds Of Jazz", "Glücklich", "Elaste" or "Party Keller" are still timeless highlights.

For the 20 years anniversary we published a book - five years later, we put the music into focus even more again: The idea was to ask esteemed artists to reinterpret their favorite Compost tunes. So we are excited about getting both talented young artists and many of our all-time favorite producers involved in this project. Alongside the remixes and sold out vinyl label-classics, there are a few exclusive tracks in this strongly limited, hand numbered 10x12'' box. In addition, you can explore the impressive label history and background stories in the liner notes written by Michael Reinboth himself. On top of this, the anniversary box includes some Compost-gimmicks, a download code (for all vinyl tracks and some bonus ones) and a mixtape by each Michael Reinboth and Thomas Herb.

Cosmo Vitelli hasn’t slept since 1973. Instead, he’s replaced slumber with the tireless exploration of electronic music, sharing his finds as an accomplished DJ and label manager as well as an esteemed producer, with heaps of records, remixes and edits under his belt. With his upcoming two-part LP on Malka Tuti, Cosmo brings forward his more diverse and somehow mature musical side, combining elements of post-punk, krautrock, electronica and pop on this first of 2 four-track records.
The premiered track "Die Alraune" we find Cosmo collaborating with Sebastian Lee Philipp (of Die Wilde Jagd fame) to show his more post-rock/krautrock side.

Exclusive: Fascinator - Beyoğlu (Die Orangen Remix)

New York mainstay (Lord) Fascinator drops another remix of his tune Beyoğlu. This time the track gets the remix treatment from Dreem who teams up once again with Kris Baha under their Die Orangen-moniker and deliver once again, after a remix on Le Temps Perdu a few weeks back, an outstanding experimental piece of music. Their take of Beyoglu, named after a district of Turkey's capital Istanbul, covers various unexpected yet anticipated sounds, structues and sequences. With an almost rockish note, which is partly broken up by either funky or percussive elements, and looped vocals the Die Orangen-take evolves into a rather organic hypnotic downtempo dance floor weapon that unites and captures the best from multiple genres to be a sophisticated yet easy but complex musical approach.

Time seemed to stretch on forever, the minutes rolled into hours, hours rolled into days. He'd given up on keeping up with days and dates — it seemed irrelevant when the world was at a standstill. Every day remained the same, his routine revolved around sleeping, eating and working. Life had become simpler; he almost preferred this new way of living.

Tel Aviv's Unterman records have rounded up several local producers for their first label compilation, Unterman Treasures. The label, which pays tribute to their heritage through unique, hypnotic electronic sounds, call on Tofistock regular Olsvangèr and The Block resident Asael Weiss, as well as presenting two tracks from label boss Josef Laimon - one as part of duo Megaphonim which features Perelmuter and another under his Middle Sky Boom moniker, laced with vocals from Shahar H.
