'Warmth and Green Water' is the debut album by 'Her Waveform'.

A collection of improvised electronic jam recordings.

Her Waveform started this project with a goal of injecting life into electronic music, while practicing to perform live using only modular synth. This shifted into a collection of improvised techno and ambient electronic works, soaked in experimental sound design.

This project marks the end of their time as a music student during a period of struggle with a partial yet chronic physical disability of their dominant hand. "I couldn't make music any other way. It hurt to play guitar or use a computer. Playing modular synth was the only instrument that took pressure off of my hand. But I fell in love with it."

'Warmth and Green Water' tells a story of mental illness, chronic pain, and substance abuse. Stagnant green water and the warm indulgence.

Glitchy breathing textures and bright, washed-out synths. The project features improvised performances with a 6U/104 HP Eurorack rig, including hard 808 kicks, and granularized vocal samples from a Morphagene. The music was improvised, recorded, and mixed in real time as one take, aiming to capture imperfection.

A Moment Between Observation and Reflection, Live at Livehaus, Tokyo

A Thread Beneath Our Skin is a new body of visual and sound work commissioned by No Vacancy Gallery. 
This work traces the layered and intimate terrain of connection—between individuals, identities, and past and present selves. It is a practice of listening outward, as well as, to the quiet within.
At its core, the search for connection with another is a fundamental need, one that is tied to our sense of safety and belonging. It’s a private promise between two that says I matter. Yet, the capacity for connection is forged in our earliest days. 
The work also examines the search for connection between our identities, which is a process of looking back with both tenderness, and with grief. It asks, what was real, and what was survival? It acknowledges the self who didn’t yet know, and the self who knows now—and seeks to hold space for both without judgment.
Connection across time, between our past and present selves looks to honour the past, without being trapped by it. It is an attempt to understand how time has shaped us, about noticing what parts of our past self we have carried forward, and what parts of our past self, still lay beneath the surface.
