"DiscoShit" is the name of a cooperation project by Phil Decker & Herb LF. Both are active in the electronic music movement since quiet a long time. 

Phil Decker is an established DJ from the south west of germany since the late 90ies. He gained also a remarkable reputation as a producer. As "Dubnova" he released really cool deep house stuff. Half a year ago he released his first EP under his real name "Phil Decker" on "ohral recordings" which went down really well. Herb LF on the other side is a very well known producer since a long time. Especially known for some extraordinary " listening / chill out" productions. As a Mastering Engineer he does masterings for labels like "Freude Am tanzen, Bpitch Control" amongst others. 

Together Phil Decker & Herb LF are "DiscoShit". They already released some stuff under this pseudonym on their own imprint "Rest !". So we are honored that they´ve decided to release this knorky 3 track EP on "ohral recordings".

What you could expect music wise The project name itself already gives good information what their productions are all about. 
So lots of Fun with the music.

Roit Recordings opens its 2017 with another quality vinyl release, this time coming from Herb LF. The imprint run by Ave Astra is building a reputation for dropping forward thinking Electronic Club Friendly music. The label is building its own sound, mixing deep and dubby melodies with more Disco / House grooves and has been getting support all over the world by the likes of Bicep, MCDE, Ivan Smagghe, Moscoman, Groove Armada and more 

Their latest output perfectly showcases their musical approach. Herb LF’s ‘OBERHEIMER EP’ includes 3 original cuts and a remix coming from Jack For Daze’s Arttu. The German producer has been making music for the past 20 years, always delivering high quality analogue sounding Dance music. His 3 new tracks are a mixture of stomping grooves, intricate arp melodies, deep basslines and dreamy atmospheres. There are many influences in these 3 original tracks, making this a really heterogeneous release: from the totally disco ‘Von Zeit zu Zeit seh' ich den Alten gern’ and the wobbly - bassy ‘A Little Dub’ to the relentless late-night killer 'Oberheimer'. The 4th cut in the release is the outstanding Arttu’s remix, already backed up by Ivan Smagghe, Jef K and more.

In a wild flurry of primal rage and intoxication, she’d approached the venue hours earlier, flung her coat and bag in a nondescript location and launched herself at the dance floor. As the hours ticked on and her senses reemerge, the coin drops and her face implodes with concern. “…I’ll be back”. Edging towards the door whilst unwanted and unwarranted male attention attempts to set its claws in, she wraps up the conversation for the sixth time and manages to leave the room. As she retraces steps and does her best impression of her inebriated self, she systemically checks each pitch black corner and crevice for her mostly dark and featureless possessions. As she clambers over outstretched legs and through condensed groups of people lacking even the most basic levels of social awareness, worry spreads across her face. “What on earth are you doing?” a voice says whilst prodding her shoulder. She turns around to find her mate, carrying her bag, coat, half a cloakroom ticket stub and a bemused expression on her face. 

We’re delighted to premiere a new track by seasoned producer Herb LF, and the first release on fresh-faced label International Extraterrestrial. With over two decades of experience, the German producer has shown versatility of style, dabbling in everything from UK Garage to Minimal Techno. Littered with raunchy breaks, bubbling kicks and uplifting stabs, ‘Helicopter money’ is a track you don’t want to miss.
