It describes the feeling of pain, but one has to endure it silently.

This piece was written in my University days in UBC.
It is a nocturne which has two very contrasting sections.  

Transedante Nocturne

This music is inspired by a night at the opera house.  It describes the beautiful scenery of the opera house, the atmosphere and the people you are with.  This is like an introduction to the rising curtain to the first scene.

This Piano and String Quintet was inspired by hope.  
Even though you currently might not be doing what you envisioned, you must continue to work hard and never forget that dream.  This piece is dedicated to those who are working hard for their dreams.

雨霽 (Sunshine after Rain)

In nowadays, it is so hard to believe what people say, or promises that people said will keep.  And sometimes we can't even trust people's actions to understand what their true intentions.  As a result, I wrote this piece, because I believe that my music truly speaks from my heart.  My messages of Love really speaks from my heart.  
Almost one year later, this piece has a new meaning to me.  I realized why I was so desperate to give out this genuine message of Love.  It was not something that I wanted someone else to believe, it was actually a message that I was trying to make myself believe.  I realize now that what I was trying to do was to make myself believe in Love, have faith in Love, and continue to believe and have faith in Unconditional Love.

Forbidden Love was inspired by a Korean Drama called "A Korean Odyssey 화유기" which was based on the story of Chinese Odyssey / Journey to the West.  The Chinese Odyssey was a story about a monk who traveled to the ends of the Earth with three of his disciples to obtain the Buddhist sacred texts in order for the world.  However in the Korean Drama, the Monk in this modern life was a Girl and the she fell in love with the monkey who was originally the disciple of the Monk in previous lives.  
Just like Romeo and Juliet, monk and the monkey king, should not had been in love; however I believe that Forbidden Love can have a very every lasting ending.  Perhaps not in this life, but I believe that if your Love is real, even the Gods will be moved and can change fate.
