Hercelot

‘Tokyo Elvis Presents: Voyage Vol. 1’ is a voyage into vinyl and Vocaloid. 

It was created by using my personal record collection as sample material, instead of my usual composition style of writing every part from scratch. 

On this release I chopped, looped and assembled everything from the samples; only adding some bass here and there. 

After creating the basic tracks, I used Vocaloid software to add the vocals. Lyrically, everything came together pretty quickly. Some tracks are fun and light-hearted while others are more personal. 

The end result will take you on journey unlike anything I’ve ever created.

Ayo, I'm back again with another dnb flip, this time of Moe Shop's yandere anthem.

My goal with this was to fuse 'french funk' sound of Moe's original track with the jazzy sound of Liquid Funk Drum and Bass.

But as I listened to the song more and more...Jamie's vocals veered me in a different direction. What resulted is a track like a yandere itself- something smooth and unassuming on the surface, with a dark undercurrent once it's grabbed your attention.

I dig Shiki's vocals in the original, but felt they conveyed a different tone than I wanted in this version of the song.

I hope y'all enjoy. You can expect more content again from me soon!
