For almost a decade, Here Comes Everybody participated in a songwriting circle called Veronica Lodge in which all participants attempted to write and record six songs on a single day each month. The group would then get together to share their "day albums". All the songs from the HCE album The Veronica Project came from these initial months of super-fast songwriting. This playlist consists of a number of gems from this era that were never released formally until 2021.

Here's an obscure favorite of mine from "Wake," the band's first full length album, released in 1991 on cassette only. As goofy as they are, I'm really fond of these lyrics. 

Marking it's first digital appearance in the world, the song is now included on the two-disc collection of the complete early recordings of Here Comes Everybody, "Everything Is Here: 1986-1992." In celebration of the band's 30th anniversary, the tunes have been remastered by Dana White at Specialized Mastering in 2016 and the digital downloads and physical compact discs are available now!
