The Richter Scale is a new piano composition by Boris Bergmann played by Steinway Artist, Ji Liu on the Steinway Spirit / r, the world's most advanced player piano. The virtuosic hour long composition has movements written for 4 hands, 1 part of which are played by Ji Liu and the other part programmed by Ji and played by the player piano. Ji thus plays with and against himself in a musical colloquy between man and machine.
