The US System Will Not Last - Dr. Ron Paul

In the interview Roberts states:"If Russia and China have insulated themselves, it would be an enormous rise in power of Russia in the East and the complete collapse of the Western power. It would be like a world revolution. That would be the last thing that the Central Banks in the West would want, because their main function is to expand Western financial hegemony."

"We (Washington) gives the leaders bags full of money, they report to us. There are no independent governments anywhere in Europe, we own them. Then I (Roberts) remembered Tony Blair leaving office, one year later he is worth 50 million pounds. Where does that come from?" 

"It explains why no foreign leader represents the interests of their country over the interest of Washington. All of them have enabled Washington's wars, they are all complicent in the refugees that are overrunning Europe. It is the fault of Merkel, and the French president, the Spanish and the Italian and the rest for enabling these wars. They provided the cover, otherwise it was "American aggression", now it is the "coalition of the willing."

"If there is a war, Europe is going to disappear. The Russians have already said that they will not fight another war on their territory. That tells you right there. Yet, we have countries such as Norway, Sweden, countries that used to be neutral, participating in NATO exercises on Russia's border." 

"We have Poland and Romania allowing US to put nuclear missiles on Russia's border. This is like signing a death warrant for your country. All of these leaders have supported the American coup in Ukraine, which was an effort to grab the Russian naval base in Crimea, to cut them off from the Mediterranean. They supported all this. It makes no sense for these European leaders to align themselves in serving the Washington agenda."

Where is that limit now? It is gone."

"The deterioration happened in a fairly short time. It was not a long drawn out procedure. If you think back to post World War II, we had a country that was a real country back then. We were unified, a people that believed in progress, there was goodwill. Where are these values now?"

"The pendulum has swung to robber-capitalism. The only mark of success is money. How you get it doesn’t matter anymore. I can remember when a billionaire was unknown, now everyone on the Forbes 400-list is a billionaire. We talk about individuals who have 100 billion dollars. That was the stats of the entirety of the Federal government when John F. Kennedy was president. So, now one person has a hundred billion dollars. You have a system that produces those results and yet the middle family income in the US are not grown in 20-30 years."

"This is America. The majority population cannot raise 400 dollars cash without selling personal property, personal assets, their TV, their car, their ring. Yet, we have people worth 100 billion dollars."

"My father gave this long speech about destiny, anti-racism and the need and power for education. In my own life, many of the people that helped me, when I was one of the first blacks to go to a private school in America, were Jewish people. In that school they helped me." 

"These Jewish boys were the first ones to help me. I was the first black kid there, I had older kids beat me up, called me the N-word etc. But, the Jewish kids took me in. Many of them were very wealthy and I found that the Jewish kids had become wealthy because of the tradition of training."

"We see men go healthy into the prisons and come out heroin addicts. How can you get drugs inside a prison? We never ever heard about drugs the way we do now. Libya has become the best base for trading narcotics, for drugs, for illegal immigration, for selling women and men,. Everything is legal in Libya, thanks to the bombarding of the NATO. "

"I never saw in all my life, even as an activist helping the Palestinian camps, the Syrian case or Iraqi case, even the Yemeni case, I never see what I saw in the prisons in Libya. All thanks to the war lords that control Libya. You have them in Misrata, Benghazi, Tripoli. The country is living in a big drama, not democracy, like NATO and Britain said they would bring to Libya."

From the early 1970's, when it was clear that eventually Tito was going to pass away, the plan was to break the country apart from the inside, into smaller pieces."

"It is a science - it is an art - how to acquire an understanding and the unravelling of the socio-political, ethnological dimensions of a society and use it to break the nation apart. Because you can always take a country and break it further apart, you could take the French and break the south from the north with separatism. Or Spain, Italy."

"In Yugoslavia, this was a planned process. This is important for people to understand today, whether it was Yugoslavia in the 1990's or Libya, Syria or Ukraine, these were not spontaneous uprisings of people. These are planned revolutions, with graphs and charts and war rooms. Thousands of people just don't show up, it has to be organized."

"That is the great mythology that they are teaching now in the West about "democracy", is that these uprisings are spontaneous. That is not to say that people do not have legitimate concerns, grievances, but they do not simply manifest on October 1st, in Central Square, without millions and millions of dollars spent to plan it, hundreds and hundreds of professional organizers on full-time salaries to make that happen. It is a really interesting process and you see it happening everywhere."

"The concept of oppression is very relevant today. When you are creating a system of oppression, you have to have people on the top and people at the bottom. The people at the top will have a different set of beliefs and values, but they are going to teach the people at the bottom a different set of beliefs and values, because they got to maintain those structures."

"The oppressor has the power to define, to label. For example, race is just the tool that the oppressor used to keep us divided. If we really are going to get free, then we cannot continue to embrace the values and the worldview of the oppressor. We have to come from another frame of reference."

"This is what made Jesus so dangerous. The true Jesus was revolutionary. Because, Jesus did not teach the values of the Roman Empire, the values of those in power, He brought us a different set of beliefs, principles and values based upon the kingdom of God. That was labelled as revolutionary and fought against by the elites."

"Now, we have to watch out for our leaders, because either our leaders are going to maintain oppression, or work to help undermine oppression. Christ, Moses and people of God in history have sought to help the oppressed. “Blessed are the poor” Jesus said. Moses wanted to help the oppressed people of God in Egypt. God has sympathy for the people that are forgotten, that are oppressed and weak. That’s what it is. The whole Gospel is tilted toward that."

"So, what about the rich? Well, the rich got everything they need. They don’t need to appeal to anything outside of the human realm, because they got everything. They got their material wealth, they got money and can get everything they want. But, the people at the bottom don’t have that. Therefore, the religion of Jesus Christ is tilted toward meeting those in need and releasing people at the bottom that are held in captive."

"Jesus said “I came to release those who are held captive”. If I am held captive, I am held captive by a power that keeps me in that position. The oppressor will never tell the oppressed how to get out of your oppression. Only the oppressed will have to devise how they are going to come out. Therefore, if we are going to follow Jesus, he is our liberator. If He was persecuted, if He was lynched, if he was betrayed, the same thing will also happen to us in our quest to release those who are held captive. This is the price we are willing to pay."

"Jesus Christ came to transform the people. If you transform people, you have to get them to think different from the way that they have been taught. A lot of times, oppressed people have been taught and indoctrinated in such a way that they become the protectors of their own oppression. That’s hard to get people to think new thoughts.
