#EP21 is the first musical object of an in-progress trilogy named CRASH BABY CRASH [21O22]. This 3-part series illustrates the three main stages of a transformation.

EP21 is about acknowledging the need of such tranformation, whether it be individual or collective. Each one depending on each other.

As each generation of living beings experiences evolution, the ups and downs, the exhilaration and suffering, the end or growth that the natural movement of change can bring, 2021 seems to me like one of those dead-end moments when one/we can choose between disapearing (more or less quickly) or taking the risk of transformation.

I, am of those who cannot remain in a position in which I feel could be more fluid, fair and comfortable. I am of those who whishes that, one day, we might be capable of living together in peace while respecting each ones uniqueness. Yet I also see that we have a long way to go before we stop hearting each other and ourselves. Fear remains for now our fuel to evolve and the source of all violence.

However, I am sharing my work with you because I believe that hope might be a more efficient way to reach my utopia than pessimism and cynism that some call realism…this is my position.

Created instinctively and intuitively by Marconi Union, Weightless has been claimed to have therapeutic properties in the way the track almost appears to have a heartbeat running through it which slows down very gently throughout the piece, encouraging a deep sense of relaxation in the body, It's use of specific rhythms, beep bass tones, frequencies and intervals induce an almost trance like state in the listener.

 Quand mon ami Helmaud ( https://soundcloud.com/h-e-l-m-a-u-d ) m’a fait écouter son morceau de piano; une improvisation bien sentie et pleine de belles choses, je n’ai pas pu la laisser filer. J’ai donc entreprit le même travail ; j’ai mis le morceau, j’ai allumé mes machines et j’ai joué. Il me donne l’impression d’une histoire amoureuse, de la découverte à la passion. 

 Ce morceau est la tentative d'un accident maîtrisé, la recherche d'une coïncidence. Différents mouvements s'amorcent, cherchent à se comprendre et se retenir. Viennent les premiers accords. C'est l'étreinte. Les codes n'existent plus, la communication est insatisfaite... Un souffle cinglant arrive 


 When my friend Helmaud( https://soundcloud.com/h-e-l-m-a-u-d )made me listen to his piano piece; a heartfelt improvisation, full of beautiful things, I couldn't let it go. So I approached his work the same way he composed it : I launched the track, turned my machines on, and started to play. It gives me the impression of a love story, from discovery to passion
