lightly she skips
every time she appears
sun is shining in their fins
where everything's bound to surface 
(all's reflected in solace)

will she stay with us
or will she go
and abandon me

waiting the cove
til the wounds are healing
i'll stay through the storm
see their eyes are screaming

we sit in silence 
no one dares to speak
a glimpse of violence 
and an urgent need to sleep
we took our chances
to join the ocean when they breathe


how the light moves,
every shining time she / appears
to surface, is what we believe in
