Within a few short years Buffalo's Che Noir has established herself as queen of not only Upstate NY, but of underground Hip-Hop, period. And even more impressively, she has set a new precedent for the level of skill one must possess to claim that title. Last year's "Thrill of the Hunt 2" killed the competition, won over the critics, and silenced the haters all in short order. To start 2020 off right Che is back with "Juno," an exceptional body of work which continues the ancient Greek mythology motif she developed on "Thrill of the Hunt 1 & 2."

Planet Asia has recorded a number of albums with single producers (or production teams) throughout his prolific career. He has dropped classic material with DJ Muggs, Apollo Brown, Gensu Dean, DJ Concept, and of course his boys DirtyDiggs. However, according to King Medallions himself, his 38 Spesh-produced album "Trust The Chain" might be his best single-producer album yet. The pairing of PA’s funky linguistics and Spesh’s soul loops is a match made in Hip-Hop heaven. To further bolster the flavor on this fly affair Rasheed Chappell, The Musalini, Fred The Godson, and Elcamino each pitch in a drum.

38 Spesh had a big 2018 having dropped albums with Kool G Rap and Benny The Butcher. He had an even bigger 2019 with projects with Flee Lord and Big Ghost Ltd., as well as two solo releases. But 2020 will be the year he becomes a household name. Basically, he’s keeping his foot on the competition’s necks 24/7/366.

So far this year he has dropped joint albums with Planet Asia ("Trust The Chain") and Elcamino ("Martyrs Prayer"), produced full projects for Che Noir and Black Geez, and introduced his "Army of Trust" compilation series. However, what fans haven’t got in a while is a Spesh solo album. To satisfy this demand The King of Upstate is giving heads a sequel to last year’s "5 Shots" EP, which is appropriately titled "6 Shots: Overkill." Like it’s predecessor, this offering is produced in its entirety by Spesh.

The lead single from "6 Shots" is also a sequel as Eto and 38 reunite for “Flour City 2.” Spesh’s employs a dramatic loop on the song that is ideal for these two Rochester kingpins to black out. The album also features a handful of big name guests that will be revealed with the tracklist in the coming weeks.
