Another track made while re-visiting and attempting to learn Ableton Push (and Ableton Live) even more in depth.

Rainfall [Hello again, Ableton Push]

Meant as a sort of sequel to my track "Auspice", this track is meant to portray a deeper descent into (one's personal) hell, and it was inspired after reading Dante's "Inferno". The atmosphere is heavily influenced by the band Ephel Duath, attempting to give the metal aspect a bluesy/jazzy swing and feel in parts of the piece.

Descentia

The internal conflict and ultimate resolution of a man who prepares to enter the gates of (his personal) hell.

Auspice

A tribute to (or, as written in the original score, "with apologies to") Andrew Hewitt and his amazing music written for the equally amazing film "The Double".

This is an attempt to score the entire film in the duration of one piece. I was lucky enough to be honored by Andrew Hewitt himself listening to this track and giving his (encouraging) opinion on it a little after I wrote it. Still one of my favorite pieces.

This version is "performed" by Sibelius until it can be regularly recorded.

Ableton Live Push 2 - First Experiment

Melancholy mood. All written on the OP-1.

aerivox - Stop Smiling

Titled after the novel of the same name written by Jean Paul Sartre, this is an exploration of the novel's protagonist's thoughts and feelings, reflected in the music and lyrics. This is an older composition / recording, but I feel it belongs here and might have some new ears interested in it.

Nausea

I really liked the melody of the beginning ostinato in the song "The Skull" by the Swedish metal band "The Haunted", so I decided to record a small piano improvisation over it.

The hands were recorded separately as I am not yet at the level where I can comfortably play this simultaneously and there is even a little mistake in there, but I figured I'd upload the recording as is, as a future reference in terms of my progress and for authenticity's sake.
