HERMON TRULOVE  
A Life of Music

Hermon Trulove is a Country Gospel recording artist/song writer with Circuit Rider Records. Hermon has written over 400 songs with several top 20 songs charted in Cashbox Magazine as well as other national charts.  He won Male Vocalist of the year in 1994 with International Country Gospel Music Association, based in Texas.  Mississippi Christian Country Songwriter of the year in 1995.  In 1997 he won the Gold Cross award for Top Country  Gospel  Personality for Mississippi.  He  was named an ALLSTAR in the book ,  "ALL SHOOK UP", with the Mississippi  Roots of American Popular Music, by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
Hermon started writing song at the age of 12,  trying to learn to play different instruments,  and learning the drums in school band.  He landed a job with a club band, Jerry Pitts and the Rhythm Makers,  playing drums  in a time where playing "wipe out" was a required song most places, and he could play it. 
25 years of playing in  honkytonks! Hermon had his own band for 18 of those years.  Whiskey, Cheating Songs, and Crazy Living, what a life to live.  Waking up one day and realizing, how he had spent his life, with little to show for it.  Hermon always tried to write songs, with little success.  At the age of 42 sick of the life he had lived, he gave his heart to the Lord.  Now he has written over 400 songs, he says he has something to write about now, Jesus, and that never gets old.   What a change,  from a whiskey bottle to a bible,  from dim lit honkytonks to the bright lights of Jesus.  What a difference Jesus can make in your life.
Hermon has received the Pastoral Ministries Certificate as well as the Certificate in Church Music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Hermon is very excited about reaching new souls for Jesus Christ.  His desire is to lead people into the presence of the Lord and inspire them to worship with songs of Hope and Grace, sharing  the Word of God and giving testimony of Jesus Christ. 
Hermon has 8 cd/dvd /tape projects at this time with two in the works now to be released later on this year.
