AFRICAN RHYTHMS ELECTRONIC SOUNDS

ANIGY3 is a short but soulful journey. The EP opens with ASEDA, a calm and reflective piece built around the warm tones of the balafon and a delicate melody. It closes with NHYIRA, a deeper track featuring haunting saxophone lines, dark bass, and layered drums. Together, these tracks blend tradition and emotion with electronic textures—rooted in rhythm, guided by feeling.

With Guest: Amowia, with roots in Ghana and Germany, lives in Berlin and is a proud member of the Ballroom Scene, navigating as the German Leader of the Kiki House of Unbothered Cartier. They are engaged in noteworthy projects like OVAH Hannover and the new queer party BULU’HITA in Hannover, Germany.

Inspired by early encounters with Afro, Hip-Hop, and RnB, Amowia’s journey into house music broadened their musical palette. Drawing from an eclectic mix of genres, including Ballroom Beats, Techno, Disco, Jersey Club, Baile, and more, they craft a unique sonic experience.

Their sound has resonated in renowned clubs like Club Ost and OXI, as well as festivals such as Whole Festival, Mahagoni Festival, and Bloom Festival in Turkey. They have also taken their sound to Brazil, further enriching their journey through the international music scene.

Oroko Radio - Amour Africain invites AMOWIA

@djhelviofox2685 is a 19-year-old DJ and producer from Lisbon, and a key member of the collective TLS Produções. Emerging as one of the standout voices in the city’s new wave of batida, his music blends raw street energy with forward-thinking rhythms. From early Bandcamp remixes of Jorja Smith and Tems to his explosive debut EP CALA BOCA, Helviofox showcases a fearless approach—fusing Afro house, kuduro, amapiano, and gqom with blown-out drums and gritty textures. He’s already made waves on Vanyfox and NegoO’s Batida Única show and contributed to the Receba Só compilation, proving he’s a name to watch in Lisbon’s underground scene.
