We present to you the remixes of the COSMOS EP by San Holo.

With the success of the original we couldn’t go without one, and we combined the efforts of friends and the marvelous submissions of the remix competition to bring together a bass heavy whole.

The result is an EP that takes you on a journey, much like the original. Starting with the driving and moody take by Duskus, it progresses to glitchy spheres with 12nd, then taking a trap diversion with Max Lunau. We then take a full halt and go one deeper with the abstract yet intelligent mix of Thomas White, to proceed into bass ridden territory with Hyraxe and Rät N FrikK.

Another remix is yet to follow, by none other than GRMM.

Dutchman Snareskin is back - this time with a remix of fellow countrymen Ducked Ape’s “Lost In Escape”, featuring Lauren Tyler Scott as featured on their Follow EP. With Lauren’s vocals also featuring prominently in Snareskin's remix, one is reminded of the original while also transported into Snareskin’s sonic universe and take on the tune.

Yet the drop blows everyone out of the water; a massive buildup leads to omnipresent synths punctuated by tom-tom fills, glides, arpeggios and bass drops in half-steps and minor keys. After the melodic assault comes another period of calm - a fitting transition given the backstory to “Lost In Escape”, but while one is indeed taken along for the ride it is never quite clear what will happen next. 

Emotional and yet marinated in creativity, this remix is definitely one you don’t want to miss.

Bridging the gap between imaginative worlds and narrative soundscapes, we are excited to unveil the first chapter in our Heroic journey.

"The first track, Lifelight, focuses heavily on incorporating new and unique chords I wouldn't normally attempt to use in a song. This was sort of a step outside of my comfort zone, and playing around with different melodies throughout my track helped me learn new things about production and music theory. The second track, entitled Departure, was a song that relied less on theory and much more on emotion. I wrote it during a very tough time in my life, and writing the song was my way of coping with reality. Let us introduce to you the talent of PHI NIX, as she’s knocked us off our feet with a hazy yet powerful ballad in “Loyal”. The songstress’s velvety vocals topple over strong trip hop infused beats, drawing us into a rich whirlwind of synthetic and organic frequencies. 

"The song in my opinion is a mixture between electronic-music, triphop and pop. Using a lot of real, organic instruments. A fun fact is that a lot of the percussion samples are recorded in our house. The message of this particular song is a strong love song that could be interpreted in multiple ways (this is how I like to write), for instance our love and loyalty for the world, the way we are taking it for granted at this very moment. But it also tells a story about the love between two people. 
I would like to introduce a new, more atmospheric sound into the electronic music we hear on the radio now a days. Personally I am a big fan of melancholy, nostalgia and a good storyline to a song. This is what I'm aiming for in my own music."

Producer Fytch has been stirring up a storm with his innovative take on bass and dubstep. In more recent works, the producer utilizes distortion and somber tones to emulate a beautifully dark style. In his latest “Over”, Fytch combines distinct synths with wallowing guitar and Miette Hope’s graceful yet haunting vocals. 

"What makes it unique, is that it isn't bound by genre. Miette's vocal ended
up taking the track in a new direction and the outcome came about very

"We both drew inspiration from our own personal experience for this song, and I think it was a healing way to deal with all of the emotions that come along with dealing with a breakup and trying to move on/seeing your ex partner move on.
