Bonjour tout le monde ! Après des semaines de recherche et de travail, nous sommes ravis de vous dévoiler aujourd’hui notre nouveau concept de mixtape : la DECADE MIXTAPE.

Carte postale d’une époque et véritable madeleine de Proust, plongez avec nous dans les années 70 à travers une heure de musiques et de faits historiques qui ont marqué leur époque. De la conquête de l’Espace et de la Lune, à la séparation des Beatles en passant par le premier vol du Concorde, embarquez avec nous pour un aller simple dans le temps.

Ce concept n’aurait certainement jamais vu le jour sans le travail du duo australien Flight Facilities qui nous ont inspirés en réalisant plusieurs mixtapes en anglais sur le même thème. Nous voulions, à notre tour, proposer ce format avec un regard plus personnel sur cette époque et une dimension francophone qui nous tient à coeur.

Hi everyone ! After weeks of research and hard work, today we’re thrilled to unveil our new mixtape concept : THE DECADE MIXTAPE.

Postcard of an era bringing emotional memory, dive in with us in the 70s through one hour of music and historic facts today remembered as milestones.
From the conquest of space and the Moon, to The Beatles breakup and the first flight of the Concorde plane, embark with us for a one-way back to the past. 

This concept would’ve never seen light of day without the work of Australian duo Flight Facilities which inspired us with their very own mixtapes of that kind. Our turn to bring this format with our personal look on that era and a French vision that’s so dear to us. 

We sincerely hope you’ll appreciate it, see you more than soon for new surprises

Bon Entendeur - Decade Mixtape 70's

So far, this is the most complex electronic piece I have ever made, taking about 5 months to assemble. 

 I suppose this piece is in A quarter sharp & quarter flat minor. To explain, every instrument is moving up and down in pitch slowly, at different speeds. These slow vibrati give a strange, enriching vibrancy to the harmony, especially when interacting with another instrument.

 The piece was composed and constructed using FL Studio, Adobe Audition and Audiosculpt 3.0. After literally hundreds of crashes, the piece was split into 12 parts to save on CPU usage, then stitched back together.

@themetaroom knocks us squarely on our asses with this outrageous 1-2-Punch of a release in, 'JITTER FANTA // THE BAD ROOM'. While we can't help but hear their conglomerate influences of acts like SOPHIE, MAXO, & GLOO artists in this work, there is a supreme element of meticulous craft balanced with what feels like an effortlessness. ie. Metaroom is so ridiculously smooth at expressing between dynamic extremes in organic and seamless ways, that they make it sound easy. We however assure you these tracks are dense, well crafted bangers, and we couldn't be prouder to host this release, or more excited for what this artist will bring our ears moving forward!
