Briefly putting aside their Hip Hop (in the widest sense) fetish to once again explore more Jazz inspired paths, the Herrmutt Lobby have concocted an album that can be pigeonholed by the trainspotters amongst you between their “Mind Safari” EP released in 2012 on Caoutchou and one forthcoming on Eat Concrete later this year. Entitled “Midi + Demi”, it is an endeavour in search of new textures and tones, relying on a framework of acoustic drums provided by David Arens (aka Renax) and Lobbied improvisations using tools specifically designed for the occasion. “Midi + Demi” is dedicated to the memory of Barnum.
