Yoh Ah Ah is the 2nd EP from Swiss and South African producers Dandara and Hesselberg. 2 years since their debut release on Nazca Records, they have joined forces again. 2 very different songs share a few common features. Neither song fits simply into any box. Each contains a diverse landscape of riffs, textures, unexpected moments, happy sounds, darker moods and always keeping the groove alive. These artists collaborate in the true sense of the word and the end product is always unique and special.

It was such an honour to open the magical Canyon dance floor at this year's sublime Pangea Family Affair. I got to play a wide range of musical flavours which is my favourite thing to do. I also got to play a few of my own productions. It was one for the books and it left me on a high.

'Be ready to be mesmerized by the latest Nazca release brought to you by the Danish Dandara and the South African Hesselberg. Out of the dust EP' promises to be at the top of the charts as many releases of this young label nourished by the intriguing artists that have released up until today and Los Suruba, its founding fathers. 

For whoever followed the intriguing story of Nazca Records, it is well known that this imprint has shared with its fans, along with its releases, a fascinating story that involves eternal and curious outsiders, the Viracochas and the lovers of art and beauty, the Nazcas. Up until now, Nazca Records was telling the stories involving the origins and the past of the Viracochas and how they blended in the Nazca society. 

This next EP places these incredible characters into the present. The 'now' of this fantasy, that easily translates into our daydreams about a world of mystery, creativity and above all music. The release has three original mixes carefully crafted by Dandara and Hesselberg. 

The first track, 'Sacred Hill', begins this story on a progressive note somehow representing the night, preparing the layers for 'Circles', the second track of this EP. A lot to say about this one, a subtle throwback to the 90's X Files with synths that abducts you completely. The last one, 'Asoka', puts your body in tension, as if something big is about to happen. Metallic shimmers will invade your mind and guide your dance moves, as we reassure you will be moving your fingertips constantly. This could be YOUR encounter with the Viracochas, don't miss out in it.'

Dandara & Hesselberg - Sacred Hill

This was a very special set for me. I got to play before a real master and pioneer in electronica, Arutani. I was nervous to say the least but the nerves subsided and I got into flow and had a super fun time. A set I will always cherish.

The beautiful artwork was painted by my friend Mario Pirez

Deer Park is a small park at the foot of table mountain in Cape Town. Its the entrance for an escape in the middle of urbanity and source of endless inspiration.

The Dream Stream

When our friends from @kosh-a asked us to premiere one of the tracks from their upcoming VA compilation, we already had a feeling it would be a tough choice coming up. There are lots of beauties in there, but this one spoke especially to us. @Hesselberg1 is one of the lights of the Capetown music scene and due to Love Foundation Capetown, we had him on our radar for a while.
